List of Erik Nimbley's Reviews
A grown man sitting on a bed scared and crying can be awfully threatening. For that I apologize. Clearly you've played your cards right to make it this far, but currently you're doing Mid Michigan Health a major disservice by conducting yourself in the manner you've grown accustomed to. You responded to my concerns with condescending rhetoric and blatant sarcasm. You looked wildly unprofessional from your disheveled hair to your old sneakers. I didn't even know you were the Doctor until near end of visit when I saw your nametag, because you never once introduced yourself. Maybe I'm off base because I've visited a physician only a handful of times in my life, and my expectations are askew. That being said, I do believe a Doctor needs to garner his/her patients trust to treat them effectively, from answering your questions honestly and completely, to taking your recommendations to heart and putting them into action. In my opinion, not presenting yourself in a professional manner hinders that goal, and frankly makes people feel like they walked into the wrong hospital. I truely hope your opinion of my test results was on point today. I will be getting another opinion, possibly wasting time, because you couldn't see i was scared through my tear-soaked mask, and take 30 seconds to build rapport. BE BETTER.
Great bedside manner with my family member who visit the ER.
Great bedside manner. Very caring and understanding doctor. If you had an emergency, you would be lucky if he was working. Highly recommend.
He is awesome . The Best Doctor in Gladwin
How is knowledge and bedside manner is A +
Horrible bedside manner. Discharged with cough. All signs and symptoms of bronchitis, including family members that currently have it. Dr didn’t come into room until after tests were done. He then comes in with test results, and asks how ya doing today. He needs to learn from Dr Eaton.
The most helpful understanding and informative doctor I have ever seen in an emergency room.
Went to ER at Gladwin hospital for shoulder pain. *Uncaring and disrespectful* Dr. Nimbley did not ask if my husband received X-rays or CT from previous visit at urgent care. We asked and then he ordered them. Referral to Ortho and muscle relaxer shot and discharged. The shot did not work, we returned to ER. When he came into to room he was upset and annoyed that we returned. Told him the shot did not work and the pain was worse. Accused my husband of faking. I told him we were not there for meds, he then stated “I’ll make a referral to a pain clinic” NOBODY asked about a pain clinic. He then dismissed us and said he’d bring in the discharge paperwork having done NOTHING. I told him he’s disrespectful and asked why he’s so upset we returned. He stated I’m not cussing at you I’m just short and to the point. His nurse (Ted) who could care less but at least tried to explain the dr bad behavior saying “he’s got a lot going on” “real emergencies.” Ted then told us we were instructed by the receptionist not to come back in. I told him that’s not true when we called before coming back she instructed us we could come back but would have to start the process over. Asked for a grievance form NONE PROVIDED. Spoke with Julie and provided a verbal complaint. Understandably shoulder pain even at a 10 is not life threatening but the care and services received at the ER and by Dr Nimbley was without compassion and rude but more importantly he provided no help.
Dr nimbly helped me every time my knee went out. He set it well. After today I though I would write a review. He is a very nice guy. He cared for me very well. -Trent Venable p.s. the one that called you pretty when he was on some painkillers Care: 8/10 Treatment: 9/10 Personally; 10/10 Overall: 9/10
Terrible experience. Asked if I was faking my symptoms. Let me go with papers for a “stomach ache” and sent me to a specialist who then told me I need my appendix removed. No bed side manner and very unprofessional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
