List of Bhupendranath Patel's Reviews
I've been going here since I was born, 29 years ago and every time I go I'm always happy to see the doctors. They really care about you and your family. Any questions i have they always answer it truthfully. I feel safe, I feel loved and i feel i can trust them every visit.
Dr. Patel has been my doctor for over 10 years and over the last couple years he has just dropped the ball he is not the same or does not care about his patients health or wellbeing. And it’s not just him it’s the whole office as a team of doctors. I have made numerous complaints and nothing. When I was diagnose with a low heart rate and my cardiologist recommended I receive b12 shots to help relieve some of the symptoms he refuse and told me to get blood work done or pay out of pocket. I got the blood work done results show that my levels are very low. I don’t understand as my doctor why you wouldn’t help me with that. No to mention I have a disc that is out 3 cm in my back and he refuses to help me for that because he is not a pain management doctor the list goes on. But to make a long story short once upon a time he was a great doctor but now he just don’t care.
Dr. Patel has been my doctor for over 30+ years! He is an outstanding physician. He goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable and happy. He has the kindest demeanor and treats you like family. I've received many inspired and inspirational chats with him which made me take my health more serious. He makes sure you know that you matter ❤️ He's a blessing beyond understanding! His staff is pretty sensational as well ☺️
Dr. Patel has been my primary Dr. for 25+ years. I will be his patient until he retires. He is such a gentle soul and always takes the time to really listen to what you are saying. He always asks about my girls and never, ever rushes you along. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. A lot of people are slamming his office staff, but I have found them all to be very accommodating and friendly whenever I go see him. Dr. Patel's assistant, Janell, is awesome. She always calls back promptly and answers any questions you might have. Recently I had to contact Dr. Patel through the portal, and he responded back to me the next morning. It is hard to get in with him when I am sick, but the NP's are knowledgeable. I always book my physical with Dr. Patel a year in advance and if I really wanted to talk to him about something, I would wait for an appointment. Luckily I have been very healthy.
I have been a patient of Dr. Patel for 30 years, he is awesome, his staff not so much. Problem is Obama Care and St. Joe policies ruined his practice. They forced him to fire his staff and get new staff to meet St. Joes policies. ..... of course they kept the nasty old lady in records. I could always call in the morning and get in the same day, not any more thanks to St. Joes limiting the number of patients he can see. Mr. and Mrs. Patel are awesome people its too bad what they did to his family practice, thank you Obama!
For 14 years my family has all been patients of Dr. BG Patel. I want to say first that I also, was referred to him by a neighbor who said he was the best Dr she has ever had and that he saved her life by catching a serious lung illness. I rarely post reviews, but I feel this wonderful physician is getting a VERY raw deal here. I read some of the low star reviews and I have to say they are based on scheduling. I also find it in bad taste to simply dismiss a Dr on his staff. I doubt any of these individuals who posted these harsh reviews even took it up with him. I’m certain he would be dismayed and do what he could to right any wrong. I can say without a shadow of a doubt Dr. Patel has been the single best physician I have ever seen in my life. He has seen my family through a spectrum of things that requires not only a great knowledge of medicine, but also a deep sense of care for a patient’s well being. No one has a better bedside manner than this gentle man. He listens, asks questions and even provides a hug if you need it and treats every patient like family. In fact, he looked me in the eye during one visit and told me when I broke down upset, “we are your family we are going to take care of you, don’t worry” and then he asked if I needed a hug and provided one after I nodded yes through tears. I will never forget that, he knew I needed to feel safe and looked after and he provided that reassurance in a calming, yet authentic way. He still calls my daughter (whom he’s been seeing since she was 2) his baby to this day and celebrates her achievements at every yearly well visit. It’s endearing, and I believe authentically who he is. Someone who cares deeply for his patients. She’s never scared to go to the Dr and because we have regular visits she knows that prevention is the best medicine. The man sold his thriving family practice to St. Joseph Mercy Health System probably because his practice was growing faster than he could keep up; especially with his wonderful reputation. He’s been in demand as a Dr since I began seeing him over a decade ago. I also had to make advance appts, and rarely got in same day. I was happy to wait, and if it couldn’t I would go to Urgent Care. Is what it is. Being part of a larger health system, I’m sure also seemed to him like a benefit to his patients for a variety of reasons both seen and unseen. It requires a great deal of money to keep up on the latest and greatest technologies, devices, computer systems and I’m sure they offered that as well as connectivity to specialists etc... Don’t blame him on some public forum that will affect his livelihood and reputation, take it up with him. Shame on these people who have been his patients for so many years, they turned on him and he has cared for them so well. That says more about their character frankly than his. I will truly be sad and won’t know where to go when he does eventually retire. I tell you what though, until then, I will make appts in advance and wait patiently to see him, because he’s worth the wait and my health and well being are safe with him.
Dr. Patel is very knowledgeable and competent. He has been my primary care physician For over 30 years. I would highly recommend him. He’s the best.
Kind, loving and wonderful physician. I have been going here for over 30 years and have yet to consider seeing anything but Dr Patel as my primary physician. I feel bad for the people that cannot get in to see him quickly, but he is truly worth the wait.
The negative reviews are mainly about the act of getting an appointment scheduled; which I agree can be frustrating due to his busy schedule. As far as how Dr. Patel is as a physician, I cannot say enough good things. I’ve been a patient of his for 10+ years and I have always had a positive experience. So welcoming, kind, and listens to everything you need to say.
Dr Patel is great but you cannot get in to see him (he has been my primary care doctor for 20 years). I scheduled a Physical 1 year in advance to find out that I could not see Dr Patel and they want to switch me to another doctor. They did this last year when I tried to get my physical completed by the end of the year.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
