Douglas Pugmire's Online Review Report Card

If you press this man on his assumptions or in any way question what he says, he becomes enraged and violent. His staff gets three stars only because the one nurse tried to stop him from physically assaulting me -- she failed, but she tried.

No one answers the phone. I have been waiting for 1 hour to schedule an appointment. I'm on hold on my bluetooth as I write this review. I have been calling since the morning and no answer. No one calls you back after leaving a message and appointment request. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. They claim "we can help" but no one cares to help. If this is how unprofessional they are I can just imagine how unprofessional everything else would be. Explains the new reviews posted. Going elsewhere, where they actually care!

Dr. Pugmire does not deserve even a star, but unfortunately with google 0 stars is not acceptable. From my first appointment after being referred to him 5 months ago, he has harassed me, quick to get in young girls pants and do checks for no reason no explanation nothing, scheduled surgery, failed to send the prescription to the pharmacy, failed to send the lab order through, failed to give me the paperwork for the lab order, pharmacy, almost every paper I needed for surgery, the one paper I did get for work they filled it out wrong. His office is a joke to get ahold of, any doctor, pharmacist, anyone in the health care field that tried to get ahold of them for me as well had the same trouble. He has lied, changed his story, failed to tell me the correct recovery stage after surgery, not to mention refuses to answer any questions because of time restrictions but has enough time too fully explain an IUD, any complications and insert one, but again didn’t have enough time to even answer a question relating the surgery he did. 4 1/2 months after surgery, he is still blowing off the pain that has only gotten worse in his care, I still have a lot of unanswered questions he is refusing to answer. If anyone has any questions about my experience as a patient of Dr. Pugmire, please ask I will be happy to answer and provide dates and examples of everything. Thank you Tara and the other 4 kind employees in his office that I have met but not spent as much time with, over the last 5 months. Y’all are amazing, thank you so much for answering any questions that I asked that you could answer.

Dr. Pugmire performed a hysterectomy using the daVinci Robotic System because I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. He was very compassionate and reassuring. My experience was a 10 on a ten point scale. He showed great concern for my well being and kept me informed of what to expect during and after surgery. I felt confident in his surgical performance and his ability to keep me safe and cancer free. I considered myself fortunate to have him as my surgeon and Oncology Specialist. I am cancer free! Thank you Dr. Pugmire!

From our first experience with this office, their non-functioning phone system and days before anyone returned our calls - I should have known we were meant to go elsewhere. Dr. Pugmire told me himself he "questions everything," however when I started questioning him about my mothers health and his treatment suggestions, he became defense rather quickly. What was meant to be a simple check-up appointment for my mother ended with him asking me to leave his office. My mother had an adverse reaction to her first dose of chemo which left her in the hospital for over a week. Dr. Pugmire denies any chance of this being caused from his treatment. He also refused to draw my mother's blood to check her white blood cell count today. Patient abandonment at its finest. If you are looking for a doc with terrible bedside manner and an inability to fully explain the situation in laymen's terms to an older woman so that she can understand whats going in ... this is the doc for you. Otherwise, I would highly suggest getting your second opinion before you tell him you are going to do so. He will throw you out of his office, too. Its disappointing that a physician has to get so combative when my sister and I are clearly trying to be good advocates for our Mother's health.

He actually got in my mother's face screaming like a 2 year old child. I ended up in the hospital due to his negligence and he takes ZERO accountability. If you want a better quality of live through this terrible process, avoid this man doctor and Ascension Providence.

The BEST!

At first he was very kind, and I felt confident but he just did the surgery to remove the uterus, ovary and appendix and I had the first complication with heavy bleeding and curdles to 10 days after the surgery and my Son very worried called to let him know and he was very rude and looked annoyed, he prescribed me an altibitic and I took it but it did not help, when I called to let him know that I had finished the antibiotic and that I was still with bleeding, I asked him to give me a phone number where I could send images of the bleeding and he would make the decision if it was necessary to make an appointment at the end he gave me an appointment and when I arrived it was a nightmare ,he was very angry and rude to me He checked me and hurt me, zero information on side effects when removing the uterus and ovary as the extreme symptoms of menopause, my surgery was on 03-28-2020 in the middle of the pandemic! at 3 months I had to go to my Gynecologist for a new treatment
