Dr Boodin did four cervival spinal surgeries on me. Still in pain so he referred me to John’s Hopkins in Baltimore. We discovered dr Bodin missed the one level that needed to be fixed! His wife was not the most pleasant person to run his practice.

Oh the money Dr. Boodin could have made! But instead, Dr. Boodin puts his patient's needs, risks and percentage of success first. I waited 2 years to post this - to give an honest review. I am so happy to say that I followed the recommendation (2nd opinion) from Dr. Boodin. I am doing much better today - did NOT need surgery after all. It all started a few years back, following a hospital stay, when a doctor recommended spine (neck) surgery. My amazing neurologist (Dr. Elizabeth Smith) suggested I get a second opinion from (her quote) "Dr. Stephen Boodin, the best neurologist in MI." When I saw my amazing PMR (Dr. Ronald Taylor) he echoed the exact same thing and added ". . . . if you needed surgery, he is the best neurosurgeon to do it. " He sends all his patients there. I was ecstatic to hear Dr. Boodin say that he did not recommend surgery as a solution to my problem. I respected and trusted Dr. Boodin's opinion. Once you meet him, you will understand why I am writing this. You will immediately know that he is an experienced neurosurgeon, knowledgeable, down to earth, sincere and clearly puts the patient before his wallet. I highly recommend Dr Boodin if you need an initial evaluation, second opinion or need surgery. Thank you for reading my review.

I felt very comfortable when I first met him and took comfort in his level of experience. You can sense his level of experience when you meet with him. Did a great job on my operation and responded within 3 min on a Sunday night when I called his service number due to a fever.

Needs to retire! Dr. Boodin will not return phone calls. He makes his office staff (WIFE) do that - she is very RUDE. She will interrupt and not even allow you to finish asking your questions. If you want, professional care in a warm, caring office environment, this is NOT the place!

I had back surgery last Sept. 2015, Dr. Boodin was able to find the cause when other Doctors I had seen could not. He did an excellent job and I have no complaints about the surgery. I would recommend him to others if not for his wife. She is arrogant and thinks she knows it all, her lack of professionalism with my insurance company was a direct cause for my short term disability to be denied. I went 2 months without any pay. I would recommend going else where to not deal with his wife.

Dr. Boodin performed my surgery in 2003. My condition was serious and I made a full recovery and continue to be well. I was discussing the success of my experience today, and though I now live in Texas, I recommend Dr. Boodin.

Cleaned up previous surgeon sloppy work

Very friendly and took the time to explain in detail what was wrong and what my options were. He made sure the injections,steroids and physical therapy failed before considering surgery which was huge in my opinion. I'm scared of doctors but for some reason he made me feel very comfortable from the minute he walked in the room. He and his staff were great at following up as soon as procedure was done. I already recommended a patient to him and just got out of the hospital 5 days ago.

Excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anybody.
