List of Cynthia Chow's Reviews
The first kind and truly caring dermatologist I have been to. I have been to many others.
Dr. Chow changed my life. I visited her many times in late 1972 at her office in Rochester. After long friendly talks during cortisone injections for my psoriasis, she convinced me to leave the snow and ice of Micigan. I’m now happily retired in California.
I haven't been to see Dr. Chow in several years, but was excited to leave a review. Dr. Chow is an excellent dermatologist and has caught several spots of skin cancer when other doctors have passed them by. She is excellent at diagnostic medicine, and was the first to discover that my mother had to skin lupus when over a dozen different doctors had failed to recognize it. I would highly recommend her to anyone watching to get top notch skin care.
She found the cancer in my back Removed it and checked all other moles.
Dr. Chow was extremely thorough, checking everywhere for possible skin cancers, as melanomas run in my family. She even checked out the scalp. I had been to another Dermatologist, who didn't catch a pre-cancerous condition on my chest to follow-up on. I only wish the office takes Medicare that my husband must use.
I WAS a patient of Dr. Chow for many years. That promptly ended with the SECOND misdiagnosis of basal cell cancer. Yearly skin checks with numerous moles removed, many normal, some atypical. In both instances I pointed out a spot on my leg to which Dr. Chow replied "Oh, that's nothing". My plastic surgeon removed both spots, a couple years apart. BOTH were basal cell cancer. I have a new dermatologist who is much more thorough. Photos of basal cell cancer on the internet helped ME diagnose basal cell cancer. Too bad Dr. Chow was unable to see it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
