List of Donald Muir Md's Reviews
My Mother has been a patient with Dr Muir for over a decade. She loves him. I fail to see why as any time I accompany her she doesnt get to see him, even when she thinks its going to be him it isnt. His staff is miserable and rude and honestly bullies. They dont return phone calls, and this has been going in for a while but again she loves the Dr. They sent her an appt reminder to an office she had no idea existed and then wouldnt see her when she came to the inly office she has ever been to. They drew her blood and had her leave a urine. Only to “misplace” it or something. Then said she had no showed when she had rescheduled. We asked for a slip to go to a lab for blood work they instisted she come there wouldnt give us a slip for the lab and asked her to come in at 845 as it was fasting bloodwork and she is a diabetic mind you, then ignored her and made her wait until twn am when she inly got in then because she asked what was up. Then, so upset she was in tear my 76 yr old Mom was ignored at check out so she just left. Crying. Janet is the inly person's name I got yeaterday. She was bullying my Mom and apparently they did so again today. Shamefull aweful unprofessional mean spitited jerks. Should be fired.
My brother and sister-in-law see Dr. Muir and they each despise his office staff! The staff is lazy and prone to serious errors. They don't care. Go here at your own risk!
Dr. Muir has been my family doctor for 20+ years. Most charming, educated, trustworthy doctor I've ever known. I would very much recommend being under his care, to anyone looking for an excellent doctor. Unfortunately, I will have to find a new family doctor soon, because I waited for several months for an appointment, and when I had to reschedule because of an emergency, it took an additional 7 weeks to get another appointment. There is no cancellation list and the front office is not as personable as he is. I was also told he was not taking new patients, even though I am not a new patient, I just hadn't seen him in a while. It took the front office a month to call me back, after being denied an appointment, to actually make me an appointment that I had requested. Thank you Dr. Muir for your many years of care to myself and my family. You have a special place in my heart.
The doctors are good , the assistants are good but recently Donna canceled and changed my appointment without even talking to me and gave it to somebody else. When I showed up the office manager kept insisting that I called and changed it and kept just saying Donna talked to you and the doctor is booked. Who does that to someone? I was a patient there for many years but not anymore. I dont want to take the chance that someone else will deem my appointment as such a low priority again and be left scrambling for medical attention. Brian
I’ve been going to Dr Muir for at least 15 years but in the past few years, it’s like he’s been phoning it in and the staff is no better. On another matter, I called recently to find out if they had received some critical info from another physician faxed to the office. I was told their “fax person” wasn’t in that day so no, they hadn’t seen the info. Another issue, I was told by Dr Muir that his staff would call me with a referral to a specialist regarding a serious situation. After 2 days I called them and the staff didn’t know what I was talking about. I once asked Dr Muir if I had a deviated septum due to some issues. He looked up my nose and said no. After a visit years later to an ENT doctor, surprise! I do have a deviated septum. I was having some asthma- like symptoms and Dr Muir said to use my old inhaler even though I told him it expired in 2016. I have asked why certain tests were not conducted and was told it was because they are not covered by my insurance. I do not feel he cares about me as an individual.
I'm now 72. I've known and been doctored by Dr. Muir since approximately 1992 when I was 44. Dr. Muir cared for me when I contracted Myelodysplastic Syndrome which became Acute Myeloid Leukemia five years later. I became a patient of some fine doctors at the University of Michigan's Hematology and Oncology center during that time. When they heard of the treatment Dr. Muir provided they were extremely complimentary and impressed. They said to me, "you have a very good doctor." I agree. Not only is he competent, but he is also 'caring' in the sense that he listens, he explains, he helps you understand and he treats with a kind of kindness that makes you realize that you are important to him - not just as a patient, but as a person. I highly recommend Dr. Donald B. Muir.
He’s definitely one of the most caring Doctors I’ve ever been to. He takes time with you and really listens. I never mind waiting to see him because I know he’ll take as much time with me. He really remembers everything about your history. Great Man and Doctor.
Best doctor I have had.
Do not bother! He is never in anymore, and his office person Donna is RUDE. The office is disorganized and they don't know what they are doing, the doctor isn't in touch with his patients, and doesn't know them well. I moved my mom from there to our physician's office, and it is such a huge relief.
Don Muir has been my physician for over 30 years. He has always taken great care of my family and me. Whenever I needed a referral to a specialist be it cardiologist, internist, orthopedic, neurologist, etc. they have been excellent. And, in those rare instances where Dr. Muir was unavailable, Drs., Berger and Gradolph stepped in. People who complain about waiting Need to understand some things. Although nobody likes to wait, these doctors are doing their job for their patients, face to face. There are a lot of people in the waiting room because these doctors are just flat great. Lots of patients in the waiting tells me that they are waiting for high quality care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
