List of Henry Ford Eastwood Behavioral Health's Reviews
I have never dealt with a more controlling and unprofessional front desk staff in my life. I was having difficulty obtaining my prescription because my psychiatrist refused to fill it, and I was experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms—so bad that I nearly got into six car accidents. Instead of taking the situation seriously, the front desk staff dismissed my concerns. Frustrated, I canceled my appointment and found another psychiatrist who saw me the same day. That should have been the end of it. However, it was far from over. Soon after, I was falsely accused of cursing out the front desk staff and calling them names—something that never happened. It became clear that they were fabricating accusations to justify closing my case and getting rid of me because they didn’t like that I sought care elsewhere. To make things worse, they even went as far as revoking my "doctor privileges," which was pointless since I had already moved on to another provider. It seems this clinic prioritizes control over patient care. They tried to use my medication as leverage to pressure me into attending an appointment, ignoring the severe withdrawal symptoms I was experiencing. Instead of supporting my health, they retaliated because I exercised my right to seek better treatment. Now, even though I still see my therapist there, I’m subjected to unnecessary scrutiny, all because the front desk staff couldn’t handle a simple appointment cancellation. This is not just my experience—many others have reported similar mistreatment. The front desk staff appears to have a pattern of making patients seem “problematic” just to justify closing their cases. Their behavior is hostile, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable in a mental health setting. If you’re looking for compassionate, patient-centered care, I strongly urge you to go elsewhere. This place is toxic, and no one seeking mental health treatment should have to endure this level of mistreatment. I suspect that I may be retaliated against. For putting up this google review and sharing my experiences. But to be honest, so many people have put in the.Reviews that they had their case closed and complained about the front desk staff where nothing was done. Honestly, I did not sign up for all this.
Do not go here. I requested my medical records, and they "assumed" I was leaving. Discharged me without any notice. Will not answer my calls or return them. Save yourself.
If you ever need a doctor note or something for a service dog. They will not do it for you. No doctor there will. Go somewhere that actually cares.
Just wanted to take a moment to give the receptionist a special shout-out Loretta and Susan are probably the best receptionist I’ve ever dealt with. They go above and beyond for their patients and make sure they are getting what they need and more!
Between my experience and what I'm reading, I feel like this clinic is great for some people and terrible for others. My experiences have generally been positive. Phyllis, Rachel, and (formerly) Gina, are all caring therapists who are good at their jobs (and I studied social work/counseling at college, so I feel I'm qualified to say so.) They have all helped me very much. I get the sense that this is a bad place to go if you need medication. There were no available psychiatrists for me at the time, so I've always had psychiatric/med review appointments at Clearwood Clinic instead; they've been great. Had some technical difficulties at Eastwood with phone/computers for paying bills and virtual visits, but as I live close by, it's not a big issue for me; I can stop by the office easily. However, if you are looking for someone who specializes in play therapy or adult therapy as a victim of child abuse, go elsewhere. It's decent, but, I've experienced other therapists who were better skilled at giving effective treatment for that condition. All in all, not the best, definitely not the worst, the therapists have helped me in many ways, and I am grateful to each one of them for improving my life.
I recently started going back to therapy via tele visits and I am glad I did. I see a wonderful gal who I think is very knowledgeable and kind. I look forward to learning new skills to navagate through life in these trying times. Since Debbie has been treating me my life has gotten so much better. Thank you for improving my life.
Best therapist in the world 🌎 👌
I would not recommend this place if you are in a real crisis with your mental health. They will not fill out any paperwork for work. The therapist, NP and office staff will not fill anything out. They have at least 3 people at the front desk area. You will see that they are not doing much of anything. They are on their computers trying to look busy. My primary care doctor was even disappointed to hear that they are not even able to fill out a simple form. Mental health and medication changes are something that require time off of work. Side effects are called effects because they effect you. Even all virtual therapy will fill out forms. Go somewhere else. I have already filled a complaint on the Ascension site and never got a follow up on my experience. Not shocked.
I usually never leave reviews but because this office is so unprofessional and so unorganized, I feel I have a mandated duty to warn other families to stay away!!! You can get better customer service at a Walmart! My daughter was a patient here and the only reason we even stayed with this place as long as we did, is because her therapist was great and they bonded. The NP and office staff on the other hand is a joke. My daughter could never get regular appts. to be seen and she was on medication. Her appts. we’re always 2-4 months out with her NP prescribing meds for only a month supply. They basically expected my daughter to go cold turkey off her meds until they could give her an appt. When my daughter did have appts., the NP was always late by 20-25 minutes, but spent about 10 minutes with her for the actual appointment. Yet, the unprofessional office receptionist tells me the NP has 15 minutes with each patient, which totally contradicts what she said. Save your sanity and never go here!
Absolutely garbage company. Their counselors do not put effort into their patients. They just go over what you talked about from the visit before and ask you how you are doing. They don’t get to route causes. Their psychiatrists spend 5 minutes with you if that and just throw meds at you. They don’t take time to get to know you or really focus on you. They are all about how many patients they can see in a day. Their receptionists are not very bright either.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
