Lakepointe Senior Care & Rehab Center's Online Review Report Card

Don't believe the bad reviews! I wish more people would write reviews when they are happy not just when they are upset.My mother in law was at this facility not to long ago and she can be a bit difficult but the staff there was so kind and understanding with her and took their time with her. Her cnas were amazing myself and my wife could not ask for any thing more. BIG thank you to Marshay and Barb they both took care of her as if she were their own mom.Do your self a favor check this place out for your self. This was the best decision we made. My wife and I moved my MIL from Shorepointe and this place is SO much better. It maybe an older building but the caring staff makes up for the lack of "new" building feel. I do wish that they had more private rooms and a shower in each room.

I had my father admitted there for rehab and had a phenomenal experience. My mom had rehab there a few years ago and it was good but this time the nurses were so caring and wonderful, the room was clean, the therapy department was tough but thorough. I will send any family members to this rehab 100% of the time. Thank you nurses and staff for the great care.

This center has consistently been a 5 star rated center.

Brought my dad in yesterday there was some confusion in beginning, however every one was super nice and helpful. I only remember one name at nurses station it was Alisha and she was fantastic!!

Brian is always at another place and. One day I wanted to see him he told me. he had 130 other patients to deal with.Let me tellyou about my situation. I was struck by a drunk driver I have both ankles and heels fused r- hip and part of my r-lung missing perm on oxygen. I recently had 14 vertebrae fused and cadaver also used.After my wife died of cancer 4years ago I have been in nursing homes.I have been here 3 previous times wow has it changed. I love Dr. Parker and naizia at front counter.Of course I have money put away not in my name.I had 1500 check I gave Tina to cash and hold for me seeing I was paying my own bills. Never missed a payment. When I asked for my money one day Tina said no problem after finally get Brian useless self to sign it. While waiting to get it cashed they took it out of my room and hired a guardian to look for my income .meanwhile that money is gone I have no shoes ( of course I need special fixed rock ports). My phone has been shut off heck I cannot even get sock put on b y the aids. My lifelong credit has been ruined. I have called state worker and attorney general who is very interested since I have a picture of check sent to him before they got guardian. Please help I am losing my mind.

**WARNING - DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES AT THIS PLACE**This place is horrible. Check the other reviews. The "care" my Dad received was just awful. Rude staff that doesn't properly care for the long term rehab patients. Belongings going missing and eventually returned after several calls over a span of days. Repeatedly ignoring dietary requests to stop giving him certain acidic beverages that were causing heartburn. Nothing ever improved the entire stay. Thank GOD he's out of there.

My friend broke her arm back in December 2020. She was put in the rehab for her broken arm and for falling on January 5,2021. I called to speak to the Social Worker Diane and her voice mail says she will call you back within 72hours (3 DAYS)!! REALLY!! When I spoke with Diane I told her who I was. She told me that my friend will be with them for a while and that she will be appointing her a guardian. I said to her that I will be her guardian and she told me that"I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO" and if I have any questions contact there attorney. My friend suppose to be there for rehab and she never received rehab until 5 months later YES. She had her cask on for 5 months and never received rehab. When I would visit my friend in person or thru the window she would have the same DIRTY CLOTHES AND HER CASK WAS NASTY!! Once I called the Ombudsman,State Of Michigan,Adult Protected Service and Attorney General thats when she started getting her rehab. The next day her cask is off she has a wheel chair and a potty in her room and her clothes was change and clean. Well Diane,you should have done your homework because my friend has family and you never contact them so guess who did? 🖐 I DID!! When I got in contact with my friends sister she came and rescue her sister from Lakepointe Rehab Senior Center. If you see Lakepointe Rehab Senior Care on the list RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN! AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND DONT LOOK BACK!! If I never cared about my friend she would still be there with her cask on. If you love your love ones DON'T PUT THEM IN THE HANDS OF THIS PLACE SCRATCH THEM OFF YOU LIST!!

This place is absolutely terrible. The staff does not tend to their residents the way they should at all. I will never recommend this place and cannot wait for my loved one to move facilities. Of there were a way to give negative stars, I would in a heartbeat.

My father was put on respite care through hospice here for 5 days. I brought a suitcase of clothes, incidentals and dentures... Surprisingly they all magically disappeared! Of course nobody knows anything and you get transferred to the laundry supervisor which never answers the phone. Also to top everything off, my father came home with a gouge on his nose! Nobody knows how that happened either! They say they "think" he might have fallen! He can't get up by himself, so someone had to pick him up! I never leave reviews like this, but this is wrong... DO NOT RECOMMEND!
