I saw Dr. Gilmer and her PA Olga. I felt comfortable with both, and Dr. Gilmer took the time to answer my many questions. Be prepared that Dr. Gilmer typically has long waits and is always running behind. She is worth the wait because she is the most skilled neurosurgeon for chiari decompression surgery. I also suggest bringing sun glasses and ear plugs for the lobby if you are pre-op because their lobby set up was triggering for my sensitive self. She completed my surgery at St. John's Ascension. After surgery, her nurse Wendi was very responsive to my portal messages and typically responded same day or next day. I have had amazing results so far, and my life has changed because of them.
