List of Neurosurgery Group's Reviews
First, they don't do surgery, surprising since the name. I was referred to this office because I had already exhausted all options and had an MRI confirm a herniated disc and spinal stenosis. Being in the armed forces I don't have a lot of time for treatment before I face a medical discharge. Dr. Brennan recommended I do a "month of aggressive physical therapy with traction", at his office of course, I mentioned I wasn't too happy with that idea since my clock was ticking and I had already been to PT for several months and and tried a chiropractor. Dr. Brennan promised that if he couldn't fix it in a month he would "recommend" me for surgery. A month later, I'm no better and he blamed it on the weather and recommended another month of aggressive PT. He did not listen to my concerns and he did not seem to have my best interest in mind. He seemed to want to just keep me as a patient. I saw Dr. Houseman of Ascension, he immediately recommended he perform surgery. Gave me some options, I had surgery and he even found some underlying problems. He absolutely validated surgery and helped me in a timely manner. The staff at The Neurosurgery group is really nice and helpful. I just can't recommend Dr Brennan as an option for further care for neurological problems outside of Physical Therapy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
