Amd Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

Staff is wonderful. Normally not a long wait time but give we are in the 2nd wave of this pandemic of COVID. Not complaining.

I brought my 11 year old non verbal autistic son there for some medical attention. I didnt get the ladies name, but she was at the front desk. She went above and beyond for my son to make him comfy. She let us come back in a room so we didnt have to wait in the waiting room. He was able to remain calm and not bother others with his loud stimming noises. Best Service! she deserves a raise!

Just took my 17 month old daughter on a Sunday night at 8:30pm. Every Urgent Care in Lapeer was closed but it was worth the drive to AMD! I had taken her to a different urgent care months prior and they really didn’t know how to handle young toddlers which lead to no tests or diagnosis. Both the nurse and doctor at AMD were amazing with her. They tested and confirmed the flu and spent time explaining the next steps. We will be using AMD from now on. Highly recommend especially for kids.

My first time visiting the AMD and the physician was great. Normally I go to Hope urgent care but I will definitely will be going there from now on.

Took my son here tonight, for what was determined a URI,as we have been here many other times prior and I have always been pleased with the staff. Tonight they had a student PA who I was absolutely not impressed with. She directed all of her questions to my son, was explaining everything to him as if I were not the parent in the room with him. Everything I asked about she basically told me was not necessary or he didn’t need that. Was I felt very pushy on needing him tested for COVID, which I work in medical and knew was not the case of what was going on. But again explained all the different types of testing directly to him as if I were not there. I’m sorry but as the mother of a minor child she should have probably had more communication with me and not have acted as if I weren’t there at all. Colette on the other hand came in and is hands down fantastic!!! Explained everything to the both of us. Any questions I asked about what medication I should be giving him she answered very thoroughly. And actually agreed with most everything of what I had thought to give him even though the student was telling me not to do any of it and not to give him any of the medications I asked about. And never once made me feel pressured to have my child rested for COVID, just simply stated because the virus is going around they had to offer the test if we felt necessary and advised that if his symptoms got worse to feel free to return and have him tested. Left there very satisfied with the treatment from Colette, but the student PA, not impressed with her at all.
