I did my scoliosis surgery with Dr Ahmed bazzi 4 years ago, and today was a check up day , he was the first person I wasn’t even scared to do my surgery with, he made me feel super comfortable and he reassured my mom and I , gave us all the information we need and provided us with the best care possible.

Worst staff on earth they never answer the phone and never follow up on anything.

The front desk workers are very disrespectful we have been waiting for our appointment for 3 months and they canceled on the same day and they rescheduled us for another 3 months

Front desk ladies need more coffee. Very rude and quick to point the finger if any discrepancies come up. Proper communication is so hard to come by.

A word to the wise: Avoid DMC's surgeon Christopher Cooke. DMC's Christopher Cooke destroyed my knee and ruined my life. He & his PA Sam manipulated me into an unnecessary surgery by systematically downplaying if not negating/completely omitting risks, while overstating any pathology I may have had. Cooke incurred even greater risk by performing extraneous actions without prior consent during what was sold to me as minimally-invasive routine diagnostic procedure, showing complete disregard for my patient ethos and our many pre-operative discussions. The trauma inflicted by the procedure he recommended & performed turned out to be immensely disproportionate to the minor affliction I had been dealing with. I can only surmise that Cooke and his team are either plain foolish or willfully negligent. Furthermore, when the surgical outcome was utterly disastrous, Cooke failed to diagnose & manage post-operative complications, instead in sheer cowardice downplaying & misleading me on the severity & urgency of the situation, later becoming extremely uncooperative if not ghosting altogether when I sought records and information whilst seeking further care in order to try to salvage the mess he made of my knee. What records I was able to obtain revealed whitewashing in their record keeping, lacking detail and full of inaccuracies and omissions; an insult to science! Not to mention, it came to light through reports I obtained that Cooke did not accurately/truthfully disclose to me post-operatively the extent of his un-consented actions during surgery. All of these details amount to just a small sampling of the alarming insights into this terrible and deeply harmful experience I have had tragic misfortune of. Others include inadequacies in his referral network, lack of communication/oversight with PT clinics, dishonesty and lack of patient communication, avoidance of digital/written communication, the list goes on. I urge you to avoid this practitioner for the preservation of the health & safety of yourself and/or any loved ones. Don't be fooled, he presents well, is convincing, and runs a very aggressive marketing strategy which includes the employ of an online marketing & "reputation-management" firm. Let that sink in. It is nearly impossible to leave a negative review for him anywhere, they get taken down, blocked, etc. In fact just yesterday I tried to leave a review on his Facebook business page, and within 24 hours was blocked from the page, so beware the "5 star" reviews! This has happened me trying to post on Google, Healthgrades, ZocDoc, any of them. My wife also attempted to post a Facebook review and received the same treatment, then we saw that shortly thereafter and since then Cooke's personal Instagram account has been lurking on her Instagram account watching her stories!! Cooke is clearly going to great lengths to whitewash his image while in my personal experience he's hurting people and hiding from it, booking surgeries by questionable means, operating with inadequate ability and a lack of attention to detail, whilst doing whatever he can to dodge accountability. What kind of ethical nature does this represent? I suspect DMC won't care as long as he keeps his surgical calendar filled and stays out of any major lawsuits, the latter of which is likely just a matter of time, and sadly will be at the cost of yet another innocent person's life or quality of life. Bottom line, trusting Chris Cooke is the single-most regret of my entire life, the biggest mistake I have ever made, one which I now pay for with every single painful step I take. I urge you not to let it become yours. Overall, beneath the glossy image, Cooke exhibits a frightening lack of competency, or perhaps it's willful negligence, quite honestly I’m not sure what’s worse and believe that in actuality it’s a combination of both. Either way, this has been a terrifying insight into the darkest side of healthcare, and has left me with disability. In addition, if you are in Cooke's care, watch out for this play, this is how they got me: Prior to the surgery, at each visit Sam and Chris would bring up surgery and talk about how minimal it was and what a quick recovery it would be. One time Sam even went on at length to me about how surgery was so minimal that these arthroscopies would soon be performed in-office, a partial truth, but manipulative/misleading: Little did I know that these future "in-office" arthroscopies are different procedures with different equipment, finer gauge instruments, far different and less invasive than what I was being sold. Then Cooke started saying, "Let's get the surgery on the schedule and if you're improving we'll cancel". At this stage, as humiliating as it is for me to admit, I truly trusted these guys, so I scheduled it. Importantly, on the recommendation of a physical therapist, I did formal PT during this time. I showed great improvement, and in the weeks prior to the surgery was apprehensive about the procedure. I tried to contact Dr. Cooke various ways to address my concerns and could not get ahold of him and/or received no response. Finally late one night a day or two before the surgery he called me on the phone. I told him I'd been improving and that I was unsure about going through with the surgery, I brought up research and statistics I'd read regarding accelerated degenerative collapse and other issues resulting from knee surgeries and he assured me that this would not be me, stating that he had insight into a larger body of research, and even went as far as to say that the surgery may make my knee even better than my healthy one! (Sure, I could win the Powerball too...). During this conversation he said to me in the exact words "Worst case scenario it doesn't improve your condition", I trusted him and fell for it, went through with the surgery, and the result was debilitating. It was then that Cooke really fell apart and his shocking inadequacies & questionable ethics began to come clearly into focus. Unfortunately for me it was too late, the damage was done. Please don't let it get that far for you.

Although I wasn't a patient of Dr. Cook's, I attended every appointment with my husband who was under his care. While Dr. Cook appeared charming and persuasive, the experience took a drastic turn for the worse. Not only did he mishandle my husband's knee procedure, but he also provided misleading information about the expected outcome and conducted unauthorized actions during the surgery. A request for the surgery video, which could have aided in a second opinion, resulted in empty promises from Dr. Cook. Even two years post-surgery, we're still struggling to obtain the footage. Regrettably, Dr. Cook vanished after the surgery, leaving my husband's knee in shambles. Given this harrowing experience, I'd strongly advise others to steer clear of this "doctor" and seek alternatives. As far as the great reviews, it appears he uses “4 MJ Social” to filter out bad reviews for reputation management. I wouldn’t be surprised if this one gets taken down. ** Update - I decided to put this review on Dr. Cook’s Facebook page as well. Since doing so, he’s been lurking my Instagram page watching every story I post which I find to be extremely disturbing.

Getting the MRI and report was simple. Passing the problem off to someone else instead of helping me fix a painful issue. She has a Detroit redwing on the wall with a Detroit tiger to. I bet if one of those players showed up in her office she wouldn’t tell them they had to quit their sport in regards to the simple issues I have compared to a regular athlete. I’m going to find a doctor who has my main concerns at heart and can help me continue what I love to do. I’m a soldier and I do not accept defeat. That was the first thing that she said to me you have to quit. No I need a second opinion and I won’t be going back there. She has a very snobby stuck up vibe about her and I’m not about it..

This is a beautiful office, it's clean, organized, and filled with busy and helpful employees. I am greeted warmly by each person who guides me along my visit, from the cheery hello from the receptionist to the doctor, each person is at their utmost best. The rooms are sparkling clean and the visits are thorough with enough time to visit with the doctor. This place is calming and reassuring, it sets my fears aside and allows me to relax with comfort.
