Ascension St. John Children's Hospital's Online Review Report Card

The hospital staff was wonderful. i came thru my surgery snd woje up without any hrosd sfter effrcts or pain. The only ptoblem was the preop staffer who cslled me before tbe surgery and told me even though my surgery was at 7am i had to be there at 5am. They had my papers out but never took me until after 7am. The staff was not happy about the mix up. i had asked thr preop person who called several times but she kept saying "be there at 5am!''' Dr Riszk was skilled and caring and followed my medical history which at othet procedures at different Ascension facilities had been ignored and i had to be rushed back to Emergency. So aside from the bad phone info they get a thumbs up

I have three Dr here and I love all of them thay are wonderful doctors I would recommend all three doctors to anybody and I really like the hospital to very polite people there

Quality of staff, efficiency, friendliness, knowledge, sense of humor.

The level of care was excellent. The nurses, med techs, and housekeeping were outstanding. I am grateful!

Took my 3 year old to the Pediatric ER. Went great! Everyone was very friendly and we were in and out quick.

I had plastic surgery today to repair my finger from having Moh surgery. I cannot compliment each member of the staff that took part in my procedure. They we all very professional, knowledgeable and caring. I wish I could say the same thing for the pharmacy at the hospital. Worst I have ever dealt with. It was almost 3 hours from the time I was given the okay to be discharged until the time they filled my one simple prescription. My doctor called my my wife after the surgery was done at 8:30 and told her the surgery went well and I would be ready for pick up in a hour and a half. My wife had to wait from 10 am until 1 pm in the parking lot for me to be discharge due to the pharmacy. Once again great job by all, but the powers that be, should take a good look at the pharmacy operation.

Today is my 20th birthday, its also my three third degree burns birthday that St. Johns gave me 10 minutes later.Good job guys, keep up the good work. But don't do that again.

This hospital is an absolute joke and I will never leave a loved one in their hands ever again. We dropped my mom off at the emergency room at 8:30 in the morning, they had to call in an eye doctor who didn’t see her until 10pm that night. He then said she needed surgery but would have to wait until the next day at 5:00pm. The doctor has still not shown up and it’s now 7:00. If you schedule a surgery. SHOW UP. So unprofessional and heartbreaking that this is how they treat their patients. Mind you, it’s now been 2 days she’s been left with a split eyelid that needs to be stitched and a ruptured tear duct. My heart is breaking for my mom and knowing there is nothing I can do. I am disgusted by these so-called professionals.

My Wife blood sugar dropped to 23. She was took a  Ascension Saint John on 7 mi and Mack Ave. I arrived to the hospital before the hospital before the ambulance arrived. I identified myself as my wife husband, gave them my contact information and important message about my wife medication that wasn't included in her Beaumont my chart. I contacted the hospital and asked for a update on my wife. I was told she was going to be admitted. When I went to take her a word search puzzle she called and told me she was discharged. Her brother had picked her up. Ascension Saint John on 7 mi is the worst hospital I have ever had to deal with.

Great staff . Doctors . RNs. NA. Etc. All are the best. Caring and attentive. I'd give 5 Stars.
