I was referred to Dr Ellen Air by my pain Dr. When we met I felt that she was very concerned about my situation which was lower back pain that wasn't resolved even after 3 surgeries. Dr Air's bedside manner was without question the best I've experienced. I felt very comfortable. She listened to me and was able to communicate with me in a manner that made it easy to understand. Several weeks later we met again this would be the day of my surgery. Implantation of a spinal nerve stimulator. Her staff were some of the nicest folks they treated me like VIP. The surgery went great and I am recovering and doing well. If you need a neurosurgeon maybe for a spinal cord stimulator, schedule a consultation with her you won't be disappointed.

We had our appointment, not knowledgeable at all! Had hard time answering our questions! Her resident knew more than her. My instinct was to run, no we do not recommend this lady at all.

Had my appointment and I can’t believe what I heard!!!!! She is not professional or knowledgeable in any way. Why hasn’t anyone picked up on her lying about answers when you ask a question??? Maybe I’m a doctor Dr.Air!!!!!! We don’t treat patients the way you do!

She was recommended for my wife! All I can say is please find someone else, we had out of state phone calls with other neurosurgeon’s and we knew surgical intervention was needed and with my wife’s symptoms and how serious her issue were and I was witnessing all this and she had the balls to tell my wife she needs a psychiatrist! Please find a real specialized specialist, her resident knew how to fix and this lady just ignored and said she needed PT. A PT she recommended and they had never seen anything like what my wife had! We found a fantastic neurosurgeon who saved her life, thank god my wife is strong! Dr.Air, please find a new job! Please look around for another neurosurgeon

Find another Doctor, I am speechless that she is a neurosurgeon??!! Not knowledgeable at all!!! Her resident could diagnose and she could not??? Every doctor knew but her the “Specialist “ could not ! Just run from this lady!

Please do your research, she is not a competent neurosurgeon and when your dealing with this area , well, you really want trained capable hands operating on you! Do Not Waste your Time! She was so easy to get into, I now see why! We would never recommend her to anyone!

Please look elsewhere for your neurosurgery needs! This doctor is not competent to be practicing!!!!! You have been warned, I have warned the public of her unbelievable thinking that almost killed me!!! She should be reviewed by Henry Ford!!

Dr Air is fantastic! I'm fortunate enough to have a host of neurological issues, as well as severe lower back problems. I've been going to Dr Air for quite a while, and if you have neurological/neurosurgical needs, I would suggest you go to her too. She's put in two neuro stimulators for me . One for my spine, and one for my occipital nerve issues, in my head. The surgeries went perfectly. I knew exactly what to expect, before and after. The time she took with my wife and I, both before and after each surgery was something we really appreciated. She took all the time we needed, and didn't rush us at all. Something you really appreciate from a surgeon. I'm seeing her again now for another neuralgia problem, and she's taking all the steps to get me the help I'll need. It will likely be another surgery, but I'm not at all concerned. I fully trust her judgement and skill as a surgeon. I'm looking forward to relief from this latest issue, and I know she'll do everything she can to give it to me.
