Nathan Lee's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Lee appears to be a very competent and kind surgeon. Dealing with his office staff, getting accurate information about procedures, and actually reaching his office staff is very problematic. I informed the office staff about my problem. I was initially given an appointment with a surgeon who does not handle my problem. I had to make another appointment to see Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee wanted me to have a second test done to evaluate my problem. After a week, I had not heard anything. I left a message for his nurse and still did not get a response. I called again. When I asked to leave another message, I requested to speak to the nurse. The nurse said that she would call me back. She did not. When I called again, she said that a patient encounter was not completed so she could not call me back. (Again, I had left an earlier message). She did call back with an appointment. I was not given any instructions. When I arrived for the test today, I had to reschedule because I was not told to be NPO after midnight. I have spoken with the office manager and the nurse manager about the majority of my concerns. What is beyond belief is that I have called on three additional occasions during normal working hours (one time was this morning at 11:35 am; waited on hold for 11 minutes) the call was forwarded to the emergency number which will not take a message). I have escalated my concerns and the problems continue. His office informed me that calls go to the answering service when the call volume is high. I'm not able to get his office to address my concerns.

I had an appendectomy which was explained thoroughly as were possible need for a resection of my colon. The Dr. was thorough in explaining the operation and possible resection and answered all my questions. He saw me immediately afterwards and explained all that was done and what to expect. I have not had any problems and felt comfortable with the information given to me as well as the possible problems that did not occur and since it was my first surgery, I found it to be very positive. I would choose this surgeon again if needed. Thank you, Dr. Lee and your fine nursing staff. I haven't had a follow up yet, but will next week.
