If I could give no stars I would!

Speaking with numerous friends and family,Dr.Abood is an exemptional surgeon.

Dr. C Abood did a fantastic job, the pain that was a 9-10 level is completely gone. I was on a high dosage of narcotic meds and have not needed them since my surgery. His nurse Barb was also very helpful.

Diagnosed with a spinal tumor, I was referred by my primary care physician to Dr. Abood. I received an appointment within one week of referral and had surgery scheduled 11 days later at Sparrow Hospital. Dr. Abood's staff was very responsive with pre-operation situations and questions were answered at the time of the call or a return call was made that day. Dr. Abood was very thorough when we first met with his thoughts as to what course of treatment was necessary. He answered all questions that my wife and I had. Dr. Abood came to see me all four days that I was in the hospital and answered questions at each visit. Post surgery, I had some blistering around the incision, when we called the office the response of the office staff was can you be here within two hours for us to look at it. The staff (Barb) helped you believe that you would be okay. The spinal surgery that required expert skill was very successful and I was treated as if I was a life long patient at all times.

Dr. Abood is very caring in nature and an outstanding surgeon. The staff is friendly and wait times are short, would highly recommend this surgeon for a broken back.

I saw saw Dr Abood for my back pain and he was great. He recommended physical therapy and I'm getting better. Highly recommend him and their office.

I was crossing a street and was struck by a car 10 years ago, causing injury to my neck. 3 vertebrae were herniated due to this accident (C3, 6 and 7) and was referred to Dr. Abood for treatment of my cervical injuries. After 6 months of rehab, I was still showing signs of improvement in not only motion, but also enjoying continuing decreases in pain levels from the associated nerve damage. Since my improvements were steady, noticeable, and hadn't plateaued yet, my physical therapist thought additional PT would benefit my recovery and possibly avoid surgery altogether. So at my next follow up with Dr. Abood, I requested an extension of my PT to see how much it would help and possibly avoid fusion surgery. Dr. Abood immediately got defensive and rude. He told me that if 6 months of PT hadn't resolved my issues, additional PT would do no good. He then pushed to schedule me for fusion surgery. When I told him that given the seriousness of what he was proposing, I wanted a second opinion, well let's just say he sternly told me that if I wasn't interested in having the 3 injured vertebrae surgically fused, I should find someone else and "stop wasting his time". I took his advice and found someone else who not only extended my PT once, but twice more for a total of 12 additional months, which basically returned me to not only a pain and med free existence but negated the need for any surgery. Here we are 10 years later and I still am showing no ill effects from my injuries that Dr. Abood said would never get better. Dr. Abood may be a very talented and skilled surgeon, but at least in my instance, was rude, condescending, and WAY to willing to rush to the scalpel.

I just left his office a little bit ago. That was the worst experience I have ever had at any doctor's office. The first receptionist I saw was ok, but the nurse was rude... she asked me probably five or six questions and wouldn't even let me answer without talking over me. She left the room with my MRI discs and was gone for probably about 20 minutes. The doctor came in after the 20 minutes with my discs and told me that my MRI's looked ok, the only thing he saw was a small bulge. When I had my MRI two years ago, I was told I had a herniated disc and I asked him how that was possible that the herniated disc wasn't showing up on the current MRI and he told me that I was lying and that I was making things up. His actions showed that he couldn't care less if I was there or not. He was sitting in a chair next to the exam table with his elbow on the exam table and his head on his hand talking to me. Then, he pulled up his computer screen to prove to me that what I was saying to him was wrong. But, I've done enough research to know what I was talking about. He was the rudest doctor I have EVER seen. When I checked out, the receptionist (different than the first one I saw), was rude too. I think their whole office needs an attitude check!

I saw Dr Abood for my carpal tunnel. The surgery went great and I am back to normal.
