List of Dr Michael Piper's Reviews
He's definitely unfiltered; but he replaced both my hips in 2011 (Feb and May) and I'm still walking. He tried to tell me he was retiring so couldn't do the second one but I reminded him that he promised to do both and he did - or maybe snuck in an understudy. Said I wasn't man enough to wear them out but I'll keep trying.
Dr. Piper has an incredible talent of making every appointment seem of top priority. He is never rushed, always asks questions, always makes time to listen to my concerns. He is a brilliant and sensitive physician that I would proudly send my entire family to.
I had a torn ligament over my bicep due to a motorcycle crash. I waited one year to get into the sports clinic at UBC and Piper had a class of interns viewing my examination without my consent and took massive X-ray sections of my shoulder and then gave me a cortisone injection which rendered my right arm useless driving home to Abbotsford at 5:pm. When I asked about his decision to perform surgery he was so arrogant that he told me to look at the pro athletes in his waiting room and ask myself if I think he needed my business. The surgery was a total failure and led to more surgery (not Piper) four years later.
I saw Dr Piper in ‘06 n still suffer from PTSD from his visit. I was a minor and he made my mom sit in the wait room while he kept insisting I remove everything but my underwear. I said no and it changed the whole tone of my visit (it was for icbc, I was hit by a drunk driver so we were there to check my knees& hips). My mom entered room so he then pulled up my pant legs and noted that I had hairy legs, I told him it is hard to shave because of pain and he just rolled his eyes. Thank God I called my lawyer after the appointment because my lawyer got dr piper report thrown out in court.
Dr. Marc Piper was routinely late to my appointments. He ordered dozens of tests without obtaining any sort of diagnosis. Due to a scheduling error by his staff I was subjected to a medically unnecessary procedure. After learning of the scheduling error he elected to proceeded with the procedure anyway.I have lost all trust in this man and would not recommend his services to anyone. 1 year and thousands of dollars in medical bills later my conditions persists. As awful as it is I'd rather live with it than visit Dr. Marc Piper again.
Professional and great bedside manners. Clean, nice staff in the surgical center where I had my colonoscopy.
He is a good listener and was thorough. He called me as soon as my test results were available to let me know that they were fine and to ease my worry. Very helpful.
I'm sure that Dr. Piper will not remember me but hardly a day passes that I am not immensely grateful to him for putting me back together. I was 12 when I suffered a dislocated hip and broken femur pocket which required screws. Two months after my surgery I went to Greece to see my family for the summer and swam endlessly every day in the Agean Sea. Many seasons have passed and I've travelled walked and worked all over the world without pain reflecting on my unfortunate meeting with Dr. Piper the man who put me back together again. Words cannot properly express my gratitude. I was in Royal Columbian some years ago when I thought I saw the doctor as I passed him in the hall. Remembering his gruff bedside manner I thought better not to disturb him as I'm sure he was and is constantly busy. Nevertheless I regret not stopping to re introduce myself and express my profound gratitude in person. Thank you Doctor on behalf of my parents now both deceased they never forgot you either.
Dr. Piper is a wonderful doctor. Spends time with me and answers ALL my questions and he is very patient. After a procedure he still takes time to talk to you.
Not helpful and very dismissive. Dr. Piper never really took the time to do any proper assessment. He also seemed as if he had already made up his mind before even seeing me. I do not recommend Dr. Piper as a doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
