I have seen. Dr Raphael a couple of times explained everything to me And took the time to make make sure I was happy with my concerns Thank you for your help

I understand being short staffed due to Covid. However the complete lack of communication followed by complete disrespect is unreal. Called the office number for Novi. Selected #2 for scheduling a EGD and then chose Michael Raphael as the doctor to schedule with. Never have I ever spoke with anyone over the phone. I have left countless messages that I needed to schedule my husband a EGD. Someone finally called my husband and scheduled the EGD or so we thought. Two days prior to testing I again try calling because we were never sent any information on prep or if he needs a driver. So my husband preps by not eating and we head off to what we thought was the testing. However when we arrive to our surprise we are at the Doctors office. And we were in fact not there for the test he was supposed to have. We were then introduced to Maria who “schedules” and refuses to answer the phone only to be told we won’t have this testing done until NOVEMBER! No ma’am, you have wasted enough time.

If I didn’t go see another doctor to correct his mistakes I probably would have died. Not to mention he just got his license a few years ago. Avoid at all costs

Dr Raphael has an excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and all areas of gastroenterology. My experiences with him have been nothing but positive, and he is truly a kind hearted soul.

I’ve been seeing Dr Rofeal for about a year now and he doesn’t seem to remember a thing about me every time I go see him. I’m very prone to stomach ulcers and told him this and yet he prescribed me Zoloft which causes stomach ulcers.. I went back to him because I was having horrible pain in my stomach again after taking Zoloft and so he just prescribed me some more stomach ulcer medication and told me to take both.. I’ve also been told by him that I have a mild alopecia auto immune disease because my hair has fallen out in one spot and he just sent me to a dermatologist to get a cortisone shot in my head and that’s it.. I want to find out how to help myself because this can lead to bigger problems later in life and I’m pretty sad that he doesn’t care to help me in any way. I don’t understand how he could have no advice, no medication and nothing to say about an auto immune disease. my emotions get the best of me while I’m in his office and I cry while talking about my problems and he seems to just think I’m some crazy girl he wants out of his office. Really really depressing.

Talking about GI issues isn't easy for anyone but especially so for young girls. His approach is disarming and thoughtful and much appreciated.
