List of John C Hart's Reviews
Very knowledgable, comprehensive, professional.
Dr. Hart is a thorough, detailed oriented doctor who not only operated on my premature cataract on left eye, but also diagnosed and had me refer with other experts for other conditions in the same by his expert diagnosis. I was referred to him with very high reviews and feedback from other optometric doctors and medical professionals. Trust your eye with him, I thank Dr Hart for saving my vision and almost restoring 20/20 in the eye. REPOSTING THIS SINCE MY EARLIER REVIEW GOT DELETED
Have always been happy with Dr Hart and his staff.
Ridiculous wait times, multiple miscommunications, have been my experience with this practice. Going forward I will be looking elsewhere.
Have cataract new lenses from another doctor. Unfortunately having issues with them. No help from original surgeon. Dr. Hart was highly recommended from other eye doctor. Very helpful and honest doctor. Was very understanding and saw my frustration. He was totally honest. Wasn't happy with My situation and the complications. But gave me good things to think about before surgery. Thank you. Highly recommend
Dr. Hart was combative and an absolute nightmare to deal with when it came to my issues of early onset cataracts. I needed help with a previous surgery and he told me it was the “best it was going to get” and the issues I was experiencing were just expected. I can happily say now that after finding a retina specialist, that was able to properly diagnose and treat, I can finally see clearly after 10 years of issues. This practitioner is the quintessential example as to why Being your own advocate is a requirement in the american healthcare system. Dr. Hart if you would like to reach out, please do. You have my number in my medical record.

He seems to have an issue with answering questions. Once, (10/2021) while attempting to get a better understanding regarding a condition, he stood and proceeded to exit the examining room. Last week, rather than explain with detail my concerns regarding the nature of my visit he began talking about “dry eyes.” Then, further informed me about having tear plugs inserted. As I continued to ask questions about the procedure he became annoyed and snapped “you don’t have to get them, it’s up to you.” No, I definitely don’t recommend him. I was originally Dr. Shepherd’s patient, he retired and I will be looking for another doctor.

While Dr. Hart's associates are FINE. HE was not. Never in my life had I have a Physician laugh at me (when I was NOT telling a joke or being self-effacing.) I am NOT a thin skinned person. Dr.Hart perceived that I was arguing about having to wear readers and glasses for driving when in fact I was questioning his recommendation of ALSO wearing a pair of INTERMEDIATE GLASSES. He asked what level my readers were, I said "300"...he immediately guffawed, said to his associate "Did you hear that? She wears 300!! And they only make them up to 350!!!!" I was humiliated, angry, embarrassed and have never had a physician behave in such an unprofessional manner. I only went to his practice because I could not get in to see my usual doctor until 2022. You can rest assured I will NOT be returning to Dr.Hart at any point in the foreseeable (pun intended), future. I do NOT need to be laughed at and humiliated by a physician when I am NOT making the joke myself.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
