I had surgery to have a morphine pump implanted and after the surgery my spine was leaking cerebrospinal fluid for almost 2 months before I went into the emergency room for emergency surgery because I had developed a major case of bacterial meningitis and I almost died. During the 2 months that my infection was getting worse due to the leaking spinal fluid. I told my surgeon and I told my pain doctor, Dr Sripada, several times that I believed I was leaking spinal fluid. I saw Dr Sripada the most and he told me over and over again that it was NOT spinal fluid. Guess what it was? I almost died because this man as well as his colleagues would not listen to me legitimate concern and instead left me to die. I had a terrible experience with Dr Sripada. I am in tremendous pain and he has not returned my call after I have left three messages. Luckily I have a primary care physician that finally got my pain under control after 5 days of doctor not returning my call. Would not recommend for anyone that is looking for recovery and pain management!!!! After finally talking with him he blames the front desk ladies for not letting him know ...but still , unacceptable! I had a terrible experience with Dr Sripada. I think what has happened to those of us with chronic pain, who have diseases nobody has a cure for, is criminal. Many of us have been treated with pain medication, no not injections that are barbaric or told “nothing I can do”. They provide relief enough to have a resemblance of quality of life. Now I am stuck coming to a “pain clinic” where I have to have my urine tested every time I come (once every month). I’m being treated like a criminal because so many abuse medication or doctors have become so fearful of prescribing; they have simply left the large majority that suffer to suffer even more with this kind of treatment. I take 2-3 Norcos a day yet I’m being lumped in with those taking extremely strong pain medications. Medication like OxyContin and Morphine!! We are left to have to ponder if we want to say “this is ridiculous” and stop or deal with this “prison” mentality and continue. It’s a shame!!

This doctor should have become something other than a pain doctor. He encourages people with actual evidence of documentation that even if you have pain he will not prescribe you any type of pain medicine and he’ll argue with you about it. Not professional at all. It felt like discrimination to say the least! I will be filing a complaint with the BCHS.

I was treated good the first couple of times ,next thing I know I am seeing a np named joe danio who is a total idiot. I was left like some of you no meds no explanation so have been going through severe pain and withdrawl

Always get treated well with the great women and prepers hoping to get well soon and not have to get these shots but hoping they start to work. Thanks again for the kindnesses I work for patriot ambulance and bring patients here I see how they are after the shots.

Dr. Sripada always takes the time to answer all of my questions and has helped my pain a lot!
