Walter Cukrowski Md's Online Review Report Card

My wife underwent expensive cataract surgery in Feb 2021 in one eye. Dr. Cukrowski didn't educate us on the downside of the premium trifocal Pan Optix lens (not covered by insurance) in detail ( Halos and Glare). Infact he highly recommended the same for her. It is nearly a year after surgery but the issue of halos and glare persists and she cannot drive at night. The post cataract laser surgery was also performed but no improvement. They recommended anti glare correction glasses but the issue remains. After multiple visits and a second opinion found out that the lens itself is the cause of the concentric rings, glare and spider web and 20% patients may never adapt to it. Dr. Cukrowski was suggesting additional treatments not covered by insurance. Worst case scenario would be to get the IOL removed and a monofocal lens implanted. After multiple visits..stress and unclear consultation given up on the doctor. Upon complaints the fine print for surgery was referred to us. Thoroughly disappointed.

Staff and doctor friendly and efficient. Explained everything and my visits and eye surgery very easy and successful

I would highly recommend Dr Cukrowski and the Michigan Eyecare Institute for all eye problems and for even regular eye exams. The office staff and the doctors there are very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I would recommend Dr C. He is agreat doctor in every way. I have been going to the Michigan Eye Care Institute for about 35 years. They are the best. Our family has had lasik and cataract surgeries and dealt with Glaucoma. We couldn't ask for a better group of doctors and supporting staff.

Dr. Cukrowski is a excellent Dr. I have no complaints. He did my cataract surgery and everything went very well the office called me to make sure I was okay later that night. The wait time might be a little long like people are saying but he is an excellent doctor and he is worth the wait.

Improper diagnosis of Glaucoma!!! Confirmed by two other physicians. Support staff very uncaring.

dr. Walter is a superb doctor and surgeon. He did cataract surgery on my right eye in April 2018 with excellent results and will do laser treatment to reduce pressure in both eyes beginning of June. He takes a generous amount of time answering all my questions. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Saw Dr. C in his Southfield office for a contact lens overuse related infection. Very friendly doctor and staff.
