List of Garden City Hospital's Reviews
It took more than a week after relative died to get a copy of the death certificate. Hold up was hospital, not the doctor. Called numerous departments at the hospital with no follow-up. Could not bury relative until death certificate received by the funeral home (staff person called the hospital multiple times too.
I had a mri and the staff were very pleasant whole process was very easy no paper work to fill out just loved it for the situation thank you for being so pleasant and taking great care of me and your guys patience.
Went here for abdominal pain and was well taken care of but my only issue was the one nurse that was taking my blood wasn't wearing gloves and as far as I'm concerned any time your working with a patient you should be wearing gloves most importantly especially when your drawing blood
The day that I had pain so unmanageable I had to go to the hospital I ended up sitting up at Botsford emergency in Farmington Hills and faced another 12 hours sitting there waiting for somebody to see me despite the fact I was asking to see a doctor right away because of the pain I was in. So I left hoping I could find another place and I did... That was Garden City Hospital who had a two hour wait which wasn't anywhere near all the other hospitals wait times. I ended up being admitted because my G.I. tract had stopped up and I was bloating and it was more painful than I can describe here. All the people in one East team took absolutely awesome care of me while I was there despite the fact the ER ambulance doesn't have to take me to Garden City they still did because I asked them and pleaded and they didn't have to but they did so kudos to Redford Township fire for taking me to Garden City and major kudos to one east team for taking care of me the way they did so exceptionally well! I'd like to personally think Dr. Adam M. Vider DO And his entire team and staff including the people to clean the rooms.. rooms were absolutely Pristine and spotless Care I received I believe was above and beyond most hospitals and any place I've ever been in to be honest and that hasn't been many but I have been hospitalized before and never had such a great experience like I had with Garden City Hospital I highly recommend it be your first choice if you're in dire need and close to it, even if you're not close make it a point to get there because they will help you in a very timely and empathetic and caring and professional manner. The star scale is Always 1 to 5 Stars, well if I could give them 25 stars I would but of course I gotta get adhere to their scale So five stars five times over! Thanks one East team you guys guys are the best!
I was recently hospitalized in Garden City Hospital Staff was really kind and helpful especially the physical therapy and occupational therapy department They helped me so much I was having a day when I was just was experiencing a complete breakdown of everything happening in my life I know it’s not their job but they were right there for me and helped me through it’s hard enough to be in the hospital but to be surrounded by real actual “caregivers” made it an easier experience
By far one of the filthiest hospitals I ever visited. The floors looked liked they haven’t been mopped in years. Debris all over the floors. NO CALL buttons in the ER. Patients have to yell for the nurse. WHAT? Machinery that doesn’t work. I was blown away. Doesn’t the health department check these places? NO STARS IS TOO MANY.
I'm so sorry for the lack of care some patients have complained of. That said, I had absolutely stellar care. I came in through the ER and from a 911 call I made because a literally could not breath. Maybe because I was admitted via EMS made the difference since I didn't have to wait in the lobby. I was immediately seen by nurses and doctors. Had constant monitoring in the ER. Constant. Doctors, residents, supervising doctors. Got admitted and had further constant monitoring. Saw probably 6 doctors, some of whom I will be seeing on a permanent basis. The staff I had were friendly, helpful and very professional. I honestly couldn't have asked for better care.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could to the Garden City Hospital Rehab Center located at the Westland Community Center on Warren Road. This group moved from their previous location on Central City Parkway which I started as a patient in 2003 and have continued to be a patient all these years off and on for various medical issues needing therapy. I have just completed another round of therapy yesterday, April 6, 2022. In September 2021, this new facility finished construction and opened…I couldn’t be more pleased with this new center! Same amazing therapists, great equipment, new location! I can’t say enough about this rehab center from the beginning starting with Leslie, the receptionist who makes things runs smoothly getting your insurance and paperwork needs taken care of with a smile, right down the line to every therapist there. I would recommend each one of them in a heartbeat! I have been treated like family each time I have been a patient. As I stated , I have just concluded another round of therapy this time, for a lower lumbar issue that kept me from doing anything productive in my life for several months. Thankfully, I again has an excellent experience and walked out a new person after only a few months. A special shout out to the therapist that has gotten my through EVERY painful issue including knee, arm and back, my therapist Samson. He is a true professional and a very knowledgeable physical therapist. He explains what he’s doing along the way and why. He welcomes and answers any any and all questions. I appreciate the fact that you get not only rehab on site but he gives you appropriate instructions on how to continue certain exercises and wellness advice at home when you conclude your therapy. Samson has a very gentle way he conducts his rehab, he’s not rough, and he has a very gentle touch which when you are hurting you’ll appreciate! He is kind, compassionate and listens, evaluates and changes your course of treatment on a dime if need be to achieve the results he is looking for if you feel any discomfort with an exercise or treatment! The key in any situation as important as your body is that he listens and always asks how you are feeling during the time you are there. You feel like you are working as a team with Samson and he has a great way of making you feel comfortable and at ease with his personality and sense of humor. It doesn’t matter if there is one patient or several, you are always the top priority at this center whether you are treated by Samson, or the other therapists on site, with Crystal or Irshath. I have kept the same therapist each time because that’s my preference, but I would never hesitate go to any of them here, I have witnessed first hand after so many years with this group why there is a reason the community has embraced these therapists as their favorites and why so many of my own family and friends are return patients! Samson, Crystal and Irshath all work together like a well oiled machine helping each other out whenever the other needs help with one of the patients for a minute or two. One therapist might be taking a patient off a particular treatment and you’ll here another machine going off at the same time, so you’ll here “I’ve got it”. I’ll help you! This is teamwork, this is what I want to see and here, total respect for everyone at all times! They love their jobs and the patients they serve and everyone knows and loves them! They talk to us even if they aren’t our therapist, they lend support and encouragement and make everyday there a fun experience! I have heard horror stories regarding other physical therapy centers and I’m so thankful that my Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Drouillard at GC Hospital first referred me to this group so many years ago because my life would not be the same without them! If you need a top notch physical therapy center, do NOT hesitate to be a patient here and do NOT let anyone refer you elsewhere! You have one body and your health depends on how well it functions with this group I promise you that!
I called to schedule a ct scan. I asked how much it would be they quoted me $291 for an uninsured appointment but I would have to pay it the day before. I called made the payment went to my appointment. A month later I get bill for over $6000, I call to find out why I was billed that much and was told they would enter a dispute for the bill. Now two weeks later I get a call stating that it is my responsibility so I Lott to pay the full amount. So much for price transparency. I will be filing a complaint to the federal government. 🤬
Well I'm still here, but the Care they're giving is 1010%I love all the Positive Energy with the Awesome 😎😎 SMILE'S 🤗💗

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process.
