Always polite and friendly. Answers questions thoroughly. .
I cannot say enough how much I love Dr Blickley and GRWH. Dr Blickley is kind, compassionate, incredibly intelligent, thorough, thoughtful. I have recommended Dr B and GRWH to so many friends and family because of the great care I have received. I have 4 beautiful babies that were brought safely into the world because of this team. Every provider I have seen has been wonderful!
Dr Blickley is the best! I switched to him after my previous Dr retired because he was recommended by a friend and nurse. I’m super Happy with him and he makes me feel like he cares and no question I ask goes unanswered. Plus he’s a Great Family Man and I know he volunteers as well! Thanks Dr. Blickley
Dr. B was my OB for my first pregnancy in 2017, but wasn’t at the delivery (A pregnant OB delivered her). I had a non problematic pregnancy so I was pretty much in and out. He told me to cut down on the carbs (I did gain like 40lbs), but I was a server at a ff place. I had postpartum depression, he provided a medication and a referral to a therapist in the same building! He gave me an IUD. It caused me to bleed for a long time and ended up falling out less than a year later. 2nd pregnancy: He was the only OB here that agreed to see me since I am high risk! It was such a headache to try and get into this office, but almost a month later I finally got to see an OB and also being seen at MFM. Dr. B has always greeted me with a smile! He has a very enthusiastic tone. I had a pap done and I had zero discomfort. This is a very kind doctor who gets straight to the point! Going to the OB/GYN can be scary, but he can help with any concerns you may have. If you have any urgent, non-life threatening problems here, just call the clinician staff and they will work very hard to figure out what’s going on!

I've been a patient of Dr. Blickley for about 3 years. He was referred to me by my retiring physician. I have had significant issues related to fibroid tumors and endometriosis for many years. My retiring physician had recommended a hysterectomy for a couple of years before his retirement. But I was not ready to go that route. For about 3 years, Dr. Blickley has been patient & willing to try many other medical alternatives to control the symptoms of my conditions. However it got so bad that I knew I needed a hysterectomy. It was supposed to be an outpatient procedure but it was a mess inside and I had a 5 day hospital stay. Dr. Blickley make sure that my surgery went well and that the right people were in position to work out some of the complications. I can't thank him enough for being so patient with listening to my concerns and trying alternatives. And when I was ready, he and his staff responded promptly to guide me through this surgical process. I'm thankful to God for him!
Dr. Blickley did an essure implantation for me in 2013, about 6 months later I started having pain and other symptoms. I had many tests done to rule out autoimmune, neurological, etc. issues it could have been. The only change was that I had the essure implants and when I brought it up to Dr. Blickley, along with the barage of testing showing there wasn't anything else going on, he told me it was impossible and that he wouldn't even consider doing a hysterectomy. Finally, 5 years after my symptoms started, I had enough doctors on my side, and there had been enough reports of other people having issues with this implant that he did the hysterectomy. Unsurprisingly, my symptoms started receding almost immediately following the removal of the nickel essure implants. I was in pain for 5 years because he wouldn't listen.
Horrible experience with this doctor and his team at Grand Rapids women’s health. These doctors have little experience working with high risk pregnancies, and zero concern when faced with one. Admitted very early with heavy bleeding. Had iugr for weeks as was told the baby was just small. Told the team it was preeclampsia. They said do not use Google. Zero answers until emergency c section. It was severe preeclampsia. Needed ultrasounds and fetal medicine team with resistance from his team. He was very rude to my mother, and said “I don’t like your mother!”. Then was told by this doctor “you want the truth?! you are having this baby in a day”. I was 26 weeks. This is how I was told I was going to have our child via emergency c section, over the phone. I demanded answers after days of none. I had protein in urine without any further investigation during regular prenatal visits and extreme weight gain and told to diet. Never prescribed low dose aspirin or any precaution for this disease.
I wish it was possible to offer zero stars, but alas, one star will have to suffice. I had a terrible experience with Dr. Bickley. My OB was unavailable at the last minute and unfortunately Dr. Bickley was my doctor for a large portion of my 40 hour labor. He was short and curt with me from the beginning. He made several snide comments to me and made me feel very on edge and uncomfortable. The exams and procedures he performed were incredibly uncomfortable. All other staff, when performing exams, would give me a heads up or even ask permission before starting an exam. Dr. Bickley did not; he would simply begin without asking or warning. He did not talk to me during most exams, but instead talked to the nurses about me. I finally had enough and asked the nurses if they could keep him out of my room. The nurses were amazing and made sure that I did not see him again. Thankfully, he’s not my OB, so I probably won’t see him again. But I cannot recommend strongly enough that you find someone other than him.
Sadly this man has no compassion for women who go through miscarriages. Felt very uncomfortable. Doesn’t listen to feelings. Grandiose attitude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
