I had a recent ER visit. I have a very high pain tolerance and know to remain calm in stressful situations. Dr Clark did not believe me when I told him my pain level was 10/11 . Sent me to X-ray with Motrin X-ray did one of 9 views ordered &tech refusing to take more. I found out X-ray showed severe radius fracture that would require surgery. Then dr Clark wanted to put arm in traction before taking more X-rays with portable machine. Stating “it is residual pan you are feeling in your elbow” and “ it is very uncommon to break wrist and elbow” Before traction contraption could come down X-ray came in room continued with ordered X-rays with portable machine to find severe elbow fracture also requiring surgery. At no time did dr Clark acknowledge that I was in pain.He gave the impression” HE was the doctor AND he knew best. Bedside manner the worst I have ever experienced. If it was not for the radiology tech I think my night and arm would have been even worse.
