Jason Young Md's Online Review Report Card

I met with Physician Assistant Severyn Jarman yesterday and she was great. She spend alot of time with me explaining the condition of both of my knees and showed me the xrays and explained what she saw on them. She later aspirated fluid from my right knee and gave me a steroid injection. I know the inevitable total knee replacement is near for both knees but I feel I have a better understanding about the conditions and the entire surgery process. Thanks Larry Haywood

Best experience ever here form beginning to end and with every person that I came across. Highly recommend Dr. Young and his staff!!

I visited Dr. Young in 2015 & was happy with my level of care. However, when I returned to his office in 2019, I was very dissatisfied. His PA provided inaccurate & incomplete information. When I brought my concerns to Dr. Young’s attention, he berated me and told me his PA was top of her class. Ok, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have a poor experience with her. Dr. Young also pointed out that they saw me quickly, scheduled an MRI, and got me an appointment with a neurosurgeon (who happens to be Dr. Young’s father). Great, but the neurosurgeon referred me to a third doctor for sciatic nerve pain because he doesn’t perform injections — something Dr. Young’s PA told me the neurosurgeon would do. When I informed Dr. Young that I was misguided, he said I must’ve misheard her. I was never scheduled for a follow up appointment to review my MRI results, too. I don’t know why my case was so mismanaged, but it’s unprofessional to berate a patient when they express concerns.

I have never had a doctor spend so much time with me. He thoroughly and clearly explained my condition and presented me with several treatment options. The office was small and there were never many patients waiting. His staff has always been very pleasant. I'd recommend him to all!!

Amazing Dr and great staff

Dr. Young made my first time going under the knife an easy experience. He spoke in plain language and thoroughly explained step by step what was going to happen. The real stars are his nurse and office staff. His nurse Amy will make you feel like your the only patient in the office and her only focus is your well being. His receptionist is also great. I feel bad because I can't remember her name but she's easy to spot because she's the really pretty blonde that's going to greet you with a smile every time. I know everyone has a bad day but she never did. She was always smiling and made you feel welcomed as soon as you walked in.

This Dr could not have been more rude. Said I was imaging all my pain and nothing else could be done for me. MRI says I still have a tear in my shoulder. This is nothing more than a workman's comp dr.

I had a broken fibula at the knee joint and torn ACL in my left knee. Dr. Young and his office were wonderful in my recovery. After my fibula healed I chose to have the ACL reconstruction. I felt better within days after the surgery. I would email or call Amy and she would provide any information I needed for daily activities. I was just released to run and I would recommend Dr. Young and his staff to anyone.

I was very impressed with Dr. Young, his assistant Amy, and the staff at Advance Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. I saw him for a knee and lower leg injury. Dr. Young explained things thoroughly and did good job of presenting me with all of our options and possibilities, both positive and negative. As a result I was prepared for best and worst case scenarios. His schedule was adjusted to fit mine and they worked hard to get my surgery scheduled at a time that was convenient for me. Overall, my experience was excellent and I would highly recommend his office.

Dr. Young's expertise and professionalism is to be commended. His quick diagnosis of a rotator cuff impingement allowed him to prescribe the best course of treatment for me. Dr. Young's bedside manner was personable, he attentively listened to my concerns and took appropriate action. Physical therapy initially followed by a steroid injection gave me the relief I was seeking for a long time. I also want to thank Dr. Young's staff for their compassion and kindness. I was able to get an appointment immediately and my interaction with each staff member was very genuine and polite. Dr. Young & staff thank you for making my quality of life much better!!
