Dr Gell treated our child in a very caring and professional manner. We had a very positive experience with her and I would recommend her to anyone needing help with allergies.
Both Dr. Gell and her staff are excellent Very through. She even accidentally discovered my heart murmur! My allergies and asthma are well controlled the last decade thanks to her as I was a difficult patient to diagnose and manage from a medical perspective. I am over 65 and she is one of the best docs I have ever had anywhere!
I've been seeing Dr. Gell for over 10 years.
I have not been to the office in many years, but upon return have found they are only better, more organized, and if possible, even more thorough. They make the immunotherapy process tolerable, efficient. Dr Gell is very accessible, non-judgmental, and so thorough. She works with her patients to reach their own informed decisions.
I went to Dr. Gell for the first time, and she offered excellent insight on my newly diagnosed conditions. She spent as much time as I needed to feel comfortable with the overwhelming amount of information I learned, and was eager to allow me to choose the treatment options that I felt would work best with my lifestyle. I felt that the entire experience was highly professional; the front staff, the nurses who attended to my testing and education, and the finance/scheduling staff.
We were patients of her father Leionard for years, she is nothing like him, warning, don't do it!!
never ever go to her, she is not human! I'm sure she is a smart and educated doctor, but she dropped my son quicker than ever when we missed one appt over 15 years, I hope her own children are perfect
I wish to post my experience with all due respect to this allergist business. I have been a patient for 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I heartily recommend them. This past year, 2015, I had my first bummer experience concerning their billing procedure. My primary physician is an HMO which I love. I was referred to Dr. Gell back in about 1997. My allergies are yearlong issues because it is the indoors I am allergic to (dust, mites, dogs and cats). My doctor calls in for the renewal of my serum which is made and shipped to my doctor office where I receive my shots. I am not the middle-man in this process. My insurance pays for half of the serum cost ($85.00). In May 2015, the doctor called in a renewal but it was construed as 'unauthorized'. This made me responsible for the whole cost. I called both places immediately to try to clear up this issue. The go-to person at my doctor's office was on it immediately. I still continued to receive bills from the allergy office. The bills began to say that I should pay in order to prevent collection. I didn't want it to go to collection so in a good-faith gesture on my part, I called the allergist billing department and made my half of the payment in October. They sent me a receipt. I thought it was over. I continued to receive billing statements. In December 2015, I used all of my serum and the doctor called in for more...the request was rejected because of outstanding balance. THIS IS WHERE MY BUMMER EXPERIENCE REALLY BEGAN. This billing department knew full well that the issue of nonpayment did not rest with myself. They refused me my serum. It is crucial I have my shots more often during cold months where doors and windows are kept closed. I spent an overniter at one of my daughter's on Christmas eve and Christmas day. She has cats and long hair dogs. Even tho she cleaned and made a valiant effort to help me out, I became ill with a severe allergy attack that lasted until 1-20-2016. I lost some work days and I was very sick. I went to my doctor around first week of January and they confirmed it was allergies...they can tell the difference but I won't go into that here. I feel that I was thrown under a bus. I didn't need this extra headache with my health. Usually I receive a new shot before visiting where there are longhair pets and this was denied me in December. I am not a sue-happy person. I am moving on. However, I have removed myself from this allergist's care because of this. My HMO now has an allergist on staff and this issue will not be repeated. Just sayin.... I wish to post my experience with all due respect to this allergist business. I have been a patient for 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I heartily recommend them. … More
I went to see Dr. Gell, I was told she spends one on one time with her patients and has great bedside manner. I felt hopeful going to this allergy appointment. I felt as though I sat in the exam room by myself watching more videos on a computer that the sound did not work too well more than seeing Dr. Gell. The nurse asked me the majority of the questions and Dr. Gell came in for about 5 minutes to discuss the process of selection for the testing. The nurse performed my test which I felt she was newer and did not even apply the test accurately since the serum was dripping down my back. The nurse stated I did not have any allergies, however I have always tested positive for a certain plant and food. Dr. Gell never came in to exam my back before the serum was washed off. Dr. Gell never came back into the exam room, the nurse provided me with education pamphlets. I felt very disappointed to pay for a specialty visit to have the nurse completely do all the care. I would not recommend Dr. Gell to anyone.
Dr. Gell is excellent. I was able to bring in samples of unusual items that I believed I was allergic to. She was able to determine for a fact and "how" allergic. She has wonderful people skills and is very kind and thorough. I felt well taken care of and her advice helped me. Thank you Dr. Gell :)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
