I'm special needs and was going to her for care for a little while.From the first appointment she talked down to me like I was a child or had limited intelligence or understanding , and exMaybe she assumed I was intellectually slow because of it, but I have at least an IQ in thewell within the normal range.I felt uncomfortable and anxious getting care from her just because if the way she viewed me.She didn't even know me and I felt offended for the way I wastalked down to.She assumed I couldn't read and asked would try to explain things to me in terms of explaining to a two year old.II cancelled anmy next appointment with her and requested my records would be transferred Got called back months later saying it was time for another appointment to be scheduled and had to request my records be sent to my new doctor and finally they were sent over.talked to me as if I only had the understanding of a 2 year old.I'm in my 59s and have a speech impediment I cannot help.

Dr. Barry is thorough, patient,and excellent at follow-up, and referrals. She interacts well with patients and shows sincere interest in them and their issues. In addition to answering patients' questions, she asks them relevant questions, involving them in the process of diagnosis, and explaining her thinking along the way.
