MIchigan Center For Holistic Medicine's Online Review Report Card

I stray far away from the typical doctor's office, and never really have a real reason to visit one. However, I was experiencing unusual bloating and abdominal pain and wanted to get some tests done. Upon the first phone call I asked: How is this different from your average doctors office - where they tend to "diagnose" a problem and then prescribe you pharmaceuticals, without a second thought? I was assured this business was nothing of the sort. I'm so disappointed that my first experience with a holistic doctor, which I have always been curious about due to the holistic lifestyle I live, was so upsetting. Every single bit of patient doctor care was like they were reading a transcript. It was not personalized and every conversation that took place I was charged for, when I learned nothing that I couldn't just google myself. As my "gut healing solution", I was presented with scripts for random medicines and sent on my way. These medicines were explained to me in a rush over a zoom call, and upon more research myself, I couldn't find much out about them either. I chose to completely walk away and take the problem into my own hands which is what I wish I had done before spending the amount of money here that I did. I am giving two stars because Mary was so helpful and kind to me on the phone time and time again when I was very upset about how everything was playing out. She offered me a complimentary sauna and re-funded my card for a disputable charge. Thank you Mary!

I was a patient at the center on and off for a few years and have had appointments with two different Naturopaths. I have not been to the center since 2020 but I was provided a DUTCH hormone test to take the last time i was there. I did not go back to the center since and did not take the test until recently. I fully paid out of pocket for my test after verified with the company who does the testing that it does not expire. Once my test results were processed and provided to the holistic center, they refused to send me my results without setting up another appointment. I have called multiple times asking for my results and been told to have my new provider request them instead. This center operates similarly to conventional doctor, looking to charge you for basic services. I feel as though the practice is completely violating HIPPA by refusing to release my results and I plan to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. As you can probably tell from the tone of this review, i highly recommend seeking Naturopathic care elsewhere.

Incredibly helpful, worth every penny. I’m glad they started with blood work & other concrete tests, my last naturopath used too much guesswork. I had extreme fatigue & brain fog for months with no answers from my PC, OBGYN or cardiologist. But Dr. Hendershot found the source of the issue and her treatment plan has helped a ton.

I scheduled my first appointment and when I arrived the front desk lady was so beyond rude I couldn't even continue with the appointment. I am a strong believer that who you put as the face of your company reflects on the rest of it. They charged $300 for the appointment that I didn't even attend and when I called to explain the situation no one would answer me. I emailed, I left voicemails, and was never responded to. How am I supposed to trust the doctors here if I they won't even answer me? Now I am out $300 and still have extreme hormonal issues. 0/10 would never recommend.

I cannot say enough things about this place, especially Dr. Carrie. I am in the process of correcting some hormone imbalances and wanted to HEAL it vs mask things with traditional Rx drugs. Started to see her for accupuncture (it's amazing!!). I found the experience to be personable and the attentiveness of the staff - from reception all the way back to Dr Carrie shows they care and they want to help. It hasn't been a quick fix for me but I do feel better and noticed changes within a couple weeks of adding the suggested supplements. I reccomend this place to help transform yourself but know it does take time and you have to be willing to put in the work outside of the discussions in your appointments. Thank you all!!!

Dr Jenny has changed my life for the better. I feel confident that I am being supported, heard and cared for by a professional who is genuinely invested in my health and well-being. It's refreshing to work with a provider who proactively seeks information about my holistic profile -- my lifestyle choices, sleep schedule, relationships, nutrition, mental health -- everything that makes me a unique individual -- and intentionally incorporates that knowledge into a customized healing journey. She is compassionate, patient and makes herself available when I need her. I would highly recommend working with Dr. Jenny if you have the opportunity.

My path to these miracle workers came through desperation - my daughter suffered for years with a range of issues. Traditional medical Dr visits always ended with a recommendation for anti depressants and exercise. How does one exercise when you literally can't get out of bed?! Finally someone listened to her symptoms. I'll never forget Dr saying "when we get you back to normal"....I had to stop her and ask "you can fix this?" I think my daughter and I both started to cry when she confirmed that yes, she could help her and has healed others with the same condition! Through blood work analysis Dr Andrea saw she had several issues. After 1 or 2 visits we started to see drastic improvement. So I started seeing Dr Andrea as well because my kidney function was under 60 (chronic kidney disease). I was told by traditional medical Drs that there was nothing that could be done to help my Kidneys, I felt hopeless and scared. Within a few weeks she had me climbing over 80! We love the team at the GR office ~ I'm forever thankful we found them!

Dr Buchner is an amazing Natural Path! I have been having issues for over three years. The medical doctors just wanted to throw me on prescriptions without figuring out why. Dr. Buchner was so awesome at digging into the physical and mental and how that relates to my issues. When I got the blood work done, she spent lots of time educating me on what the results meant, how that affects my body, and how to help my body regulate the issue, using all natural herbal products. Within a month, I noticed a big difference in how I felt and knew I was on my way to healing. Not only have I told my friends and colleagues about her, but I have also shared the information I learned from Dr. Buchner.
