I've been thinking about this review for a long time. Several years ago I had my annual skin check with Dr. Ashack. I found him dismissive as usual, but I wasn't going to him for friendship, just good skin care. But, this time he was impatient and more dismissive than ever. I never even spoke! At the end of the visit, he said to the nurse in an irritated voice, "She doesn't have to come for yearly visits". Then he turns to tell me to make sure I check my pubic area with a mirror now and then to make sure there are no lesions that ever occur. I left shocked and somewhat bewildered. But, was turned off enough to find another Dr. and practice after a few years. That's how humiliated I was. I did find a wonderful female dermatologist who was thoughtful and thorough. So much so, that she thought the wart on my thigh (so I thought) needed to be looked at. Turns out it was skin cancer. I had outpatient surgery and all went well and it hasn't come back. I would never recommend Dr. Ashack.

cannot get through to office, mumble mumble mumble, cannot hear what ever the asnswering person says?????Called 3 times.Poor start to trying to make an appointment

Dr Ashack takes the time to answer all of your questions. He has a nice disposition and bedside manner. I look forward to my appointments with him and love the skin products store across the hall. He doesn't make you feel bad for asking questions relating to improved aging of skin and hair.

Dr Ashack has not only heart in his bedside manner, but he is cutting edge smart and very compassionate in his care. Best skin dr around the Grand Rapids MI area!!

I have seen Dr. Ashack for many years and he is the best! So knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. If I ever have an urgent concern, his nursing staff works me in within a few weeks. Greay physician and great practice overall!

Dr. Ashack is great Dermatologist I spent over $400 dollars in copays and different scripts to try to find out what was wrong with me. Went to Dr. Ashack the first time he looked at me for about 5 minutes and said it is one of 2 things and the only way to know is take a biopsy. He did and now I know I have discoid lupus, but without him I would still be meds and paying copays! Awesome doctor recommended 110%.

While scheduling, his nurse disregarded and ignored my requests. Ashack barely listened to my concerns, disregarded my wishes with the procedure he "provided", was patronizing and he and the nurse pretty much shoved me out the door. Later,disputing outrages charges for services not rendered, his nurse was condescending and rude,all with his blessing. I still don't know what happened and am left feeling assaulted, hopeless and angry.
