I was referred to northwood originally for a stress fracture, but had another pain that was hard to describe/didn’t know what it was. Dr Guisinger was able to tell me immediately and scheduled me for an MRI. That MRI confirmed what we thought and decided surgery was going to be the best option for me. Dr Sundling performed the surgery and I’m so grateful for her comforting words and making sure I always knew what she was doing and why. I just don’t have the proper words to describe how much this practice has worked with me to achieve my goals. They get you in promptly, treat you with respect, and have dedicated staff. What more can you ask for? Extremely grateful.

I came to this office for a second opinion and MRI on a diagnosed ankle sprain that was not showing improvement after 2 months of treatment. I was immediately referred for an MRI. Was told at a follow up appointment that the MRI showed minimal damage and to try physical therapy for lateral ankle sprain. Severe pain was not addressed and I felt like I was dismissed by both physicians in the office. I ended up going for another opinion where the ankle specialist actually looked at the MRI films and diagnosed a high ankle sprain with syndesmotic joint injury requiring surgical fixation. I finally received proper care and had a tightrope fixation surgical correction. Since my injury was approaching 6 months old at the time of surgery, the myelin sheath of the fibula and tibia has degenerated and I will likely continue to have chronic pain as a result of lack of proper care. I'm extremely unhappy with the lack of care I received at Northwood.

I have had an ingrown toenail for about 2 years and put off getting it taken care of because I was worried about the procedure. I do not do well with needles. I called to set up an appointment and explained my situation and the entire staff was so kind and helpful. When I arrived in the office I was super nervous but the staff was kind, and compassionate. They offered words of relief to ease my stress. I met the doctor and she was so kind and considerate of my fears. The procedure was quick and painless! Holy cow! I could not be happier, it is currently the day after and my toe feels great! Relief is an understatement. I am beginning this healing process with zero doubt and fear that my toe won’t heal correctly. The doctor also cut my nail in a way that it is still cosmetically normal! 10/10 would recommend.

Dr. Rebecca Sundling was very professional and a great Dr.. She took the time to explain my injury to me and highly recommend her to anyone who needs a great Podiatrist.

Dr. Sundling and the team at Northwood are amazing! I was referred by my Spectrum doctor to see a podiatrist but Spectrum was booked for a month and a half out. A friend referred me to Northwood and I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to get me in within two days. They are so friendly and I would happily come back in the future for all of my foot needs!

I just had my first visit today at Northwood for an ingrown toenail that has been bugging me for about a year. I was in lots of pain and gave them a call and they got me in super quick the next day. Dr. Guisinger did an amazing job. She made sure it was a painless and quick procedure! So thankful I stumbled across them. Thank you!!
