Avery Arora's Online Review Report Card

I never had my first visit had very rude phone call from someone in his office. I manage an office with 16 doctors and was shocked at how rude his office staff was to me. I canceled my appointment and found another doctor and let the doctor that recommended him know what happened. He might be a wonderful doctor but really needs to take a look at his staff.

Dr. Arora is a very good doctor but his employee, especially scheduler is not. My October 10 appointment got canceled and needed to reschedule. So I called and agreed an October 23, 4 pm appointment at Bloomfield office. I picked this schedule because I live in Farmington Hills and was working that day at St. John hospital in Detroit. When I call the office to let them know that I might be late the receptionist told me that I don’t have an appointment at that clinic but in Howell. I was mad because I have to leave my work 20 minutes early so I can be in my appointment on time. I specifically mentioned when I made the appointment that it must be at Bloomfield office.

I have no idea how the surgeon is but his office is pretty disappointing! They needed an MRI in order to do my surgery but wouldn't fully handle the pre-authorization process. I had to call the MRI provider to get CPT and NPI codes for the procedure because his office insists on putting this responsibility on their patients. When I called the MRI provider, they confirmed that patients are not supposed to have to do that. I called another surgery center and they confirmed that this is not standard practice and that they handle the pre-authorization process for their patients. Looking forward to getting my issues resolved with a professional medical practice who doesn't delegate their work to their patients. If the surgeon justifies his office staff's half-hearted service then does that mean his level of effort during surgery will also be half-hearted? I'm not going to take the risk of finding out. On a positive note, the Physician Assistant and Nurse or Patient Care tech were great. They were timely, knowledgeable and professional.

I'm not normally a leave a review person but Ashley and the staff were caring, knowledgeable, and professional. I can't recommend them enough. I had an infection in my hand that wasn't healing after seeing another doctor. From the moment they started to treat my injury i knew i was in good hands. If you have any hand or wrist issues see them they really took care of me.

Efficiency, cleanliness, friendliness, diagnosis and treatment were all consistantly 5 star.

I had an accident (my own fault) and my middle fingertip was amputated by a squirrel trap. The first doctor I was referred to from emergency, never saw me, and yet wanted to operate on day 17, to which I was so distrusting of him, I said goodbye and searched the internet for a hand surgeon and located Dr. Arora. His prompt treatment was very good. I was so glad I found him. The next year, I broke my radius arm bone in the right arm, believe it or not, by pulling a stubborn weed, and my hand slipped off and back I went. Again, I was referred to a doctor from emergency, who did not have "wrist" as his area. I called Dr. Arora at 10 pm that night and left a message to see if he would see me, to which, I received a phone call within 10 minutes, saying yes, he'd see me, and his care was excellent. He also jokingly advised that maybe I should stay inside for a while. I appreciated his humor. I will try to stay out of his 'hair' this year, by not breaking any more bones. Thank you, Dr. Arora.

Easy to get an appointment at my nearby office. Was seen by Dr. within a reasonable time. Dr. analyzed problem quickly and proposed 3 alternatives. I selected 1 and the procedure was performed that day and the Dr. talked me through each step. The pain is now gone but some stiffness remains. I am satisfied with this level of relief and there are still 2 more steps available to me. I likely have the beginning or carpal tunnel in both wrists and plan to address that with this Dr. when the time comes. This office does send out a pre-visit questionnaire which I like but I thought they were a little overly aggressive in following up to get it submitted. I received it one afternoon and they contacted me the next day about submitting it soon. I did submit it the following day so all was well. This was a minor annoyance and would not affect my decision about using this Dr. at this facility - I most certainly would.

i Needed a small surgery to remove a small sliver sedged near my thumb. Dr. Aurora did a fine job and it has healed well. There is a small scar at the point of the surgery which continues has continued to get smaller. It has been a month since the surgery, and it looks like it will disappear in time.
