List of Carranda Koop's Reviews
Dr Koop is the most patient, caring primary doctor I've ever had. I have quite a few medical issues, and she takes the time to discuss/review everything with me. I could not as for a better PCP and am very glad I have her on my side. 5 stars all the way!
I used to like this place, when it was small. Got big, now it takes a month to see an actual doctor, and heaven forbid she's having a bad day. Major attitude. Looking for a new doctor...I have no time for doctor's that want to act like whiney spoiled little brats, because they don't like you challenging their 'science', regarding rona. Hell, the nurse dropped my first rona swab on the floor. When I asked if she needed a new one, she said no...it will be fine. Not as far as I learned, in medical assistant class...if it hits the floor, it is not sanitary, anymore. Needless to say, another nurse came in for a second swab.
If I could give this doctor zero stars I would. The lack of patient compassion is astounding. I had The same PCP for over 20 years so I guess I just got used to having a doctor who actually cared about me. When my doctor retired I switched to Dr koop. I went in to see her for concerning symptoms I had and she referred me to get a brain MRI. The results of said brain MRI came back abnormal and I was referred to neurology. I was able to read my results on my chart but it was a bunch of medical terminology and I didn't understand 99% of it. So I called my PCP, dr koop, Because I wanted to get an explanation of the test results. I was confused and scared. It is completely normal practice for a doctor to discuss test results with their patient, that's what compassionate doctors do even if they don't fully understand them. Dr koop legitimately refuse to call me back to discuss the results. She then went on to say the results are in my chart and you can read them there and if you have specific questions you can send me a message there as well. When I Google the only words in the entire test result that I can understand I get nothing but scared out of my mind. I have spent the last 36 hours crying because I don't understand my test results and this doctor absolutely refuses to call and talk to me about it. whether she is calling to tell me I shouldn't worry or yeah there's something going on and maybe there's a reason to worry... Either way she should have the compassion of a caring doctor to call her patient and discuss said test results. obviously the very next day I switch to a different PCP And pretty much the moment her name was listed as my PCP She called to discuss the test results with me, something that Dr koop didn't have enough compassion to do. If you want a doctor who is compassionate and truly cares about your physical and emotional well-being trust me you do not want to choose this doctor. She is judgmental rude and uncaring and I'm upset that I ever met her
Dr. Koop is truly a talented and caring professional. So happy to have found her after the retirement of my long term physician.
Dr. Koop has been my PCP for 3 years. I am so very pleased with her and have total trust and confidence in her knowledge. She has an honest, no nonsense approach when discussing what she feels will be the best coarse of acting for care for each of her patients. I am very grateful to have found her practice. Highly recommend!
the worst doctor experience I have ever had. doesn't want to spend time to understand your issue. doesn't want to treat sick folks. NO bedside manner. the worst experience I have ever had, truly. She is young, and if your alignment is not "cut and dry" - she won't touch it. even if you are suffering from debilitating diseases she will talk to you and treat you like some kind of junky. medicine is for making people feel better not worse. now even if she is a new primary doc - they will only talk to you about 2 things and then get up and walk away - they won't give you too much time (10 mins with doc total, IF that). time is up, move on and get out. come back and she will refer you - each time with your copay. I don't believe she is in it to alliviate people's suffering -> not once she has formed an opinion of you. after which NO FACTS or results will change her opinion or treatment approach. very sad.
Other review ridiculous & spiteful. I am a physician myself & have been to her - she picked right up on correct diagnosis, spent time explaining, altered my meds- so that for the 1st time in YEARS, my BP is controlled. Knowledgeable, patient, kind, supportive & her nurse is also fantastic.
Uses her personal opinion to make medical decisions. When she was a little girl she wanted to be a Doctor so she could be rich, not help people.
Dr. Koop is an excellent PCP. I recently moved to Howell and needed to see a doctor fast to get refills on my BP medications and they were able to get me in within a few days. Dr. Koop spends time in the room with you, gives full explanations and includes you in your plans for your health. She is very thorough and doesn't rush through appointments. If you had to switch to a new doctor I would definitely recommend her. The office staff are very nice and helpful as well.
Only Doctor who listens to me and knows what I need and doesn’t just brush me off .

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
