We've been seeing Dr. Piro for a number of years. As older adults, we're always experiencing pre-cancerous skin conditions from of our younger years of playing in the sun. Dr. Piro treats these areas so they don't progress.

Dr. Piro and his staff are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. I have been a patient as well as my children and they have been amazing. I have and will continue to recommend him and his staff for any of our dermatological needs

Not a happy patient. I went here against the protestations of my spouse who also had a negative experience here a few years back. They were “out of network” for my insurance so they informed me up front “it may cost a little more” than normal, not a dealbreaker. Went in for a simple spot on my face, they started freezing several small spots on my arms and head without asking, giving me a chance to decline, or informing me it would increase my bill significantly. Now I have a very sizeable and unexpected bill and the tiny spot I originally went in for was never fully treated. Called the office to discuss and they basically told me I was lying and that I WAS informed prior to the additional treatment. Now I’m stuck with a fat bill and the need to find a competent provider with reasonable ethics.

Receptionist is extremely rude, I called as a new patient asking if I was covered by medicaid. Once she heard medicaid, she talked to me like I was trash. Good Luck!

I wanted to share my horrible experience with Dr. Piro and Ashley in order to hopefully prevent others from going through something similar. I would never use him again. I had been seeing Dr. Piro for many years. He failed to diagnose a spot on my nose and forehead as cancer even after full body scans. His incompetency has led to many major surgeries. My wife and others also were seeing Dr. Piro and Ashley and they failed to diagnose their cancers too. A small spot on my nose, was improperly diagnosed even as the spot continuously grew larger and unsightly. Misdiagnosis required major surgery resulting the loss of a major part of my nose only 2 years later. After I stopped seeing Dr. Piro, another doctor found cancer on my temple that had been around for at least 5 years. I was told by Dr. Piro during this time not to worry about that spot.

Dr. Piro misdiagnosed skin cancer after seeing him for several years. This resulted in major surgery which included the removal of a large portion of the top of my nose.
