At age 95, my dad's longtime doctor down in L'Anse seemed to think he had already lived long enough. So time to find a new doctor. Initially I was skeptical looking here and seeing 30 positive ratings for Dr. Huotari but not a single comment of explanation. But we went for it. Well my dad and I both love Dr. Huotari. Sometimes he takes some immediate action and fixes something, like freezing off annoying skin growths. Other times he recommends doing nothing, that the cure is riskier than the problem. But he ALWAYS explains what his logic is, in easily understood language and great detail. I'm so impressed by how much time he spends with my dad and I, and by the vast knowledge of various drugs and things this guy carries around inside his head. So my wife had a skin problem and her regular OK doctor sent her to a dermatologist. They prescribed a cream and some pills. OMG did her problem get worse! We went to Dr. Huotari and he said first, stop everything. Bingo! My wife is fine now.

Excellent physician who REALlY cares about his patients. Excellent very attentive staff who are very easy to work with. Great system in place for scheduling own appointments and communicating with staff. Highly recommend Dr. Huotari; his staff and the concept of delivering care.
