List of William K. Johnston Iii's Reviews
I was the recipient of a high PSA score from an annual physical (that was less than annual in recent years - cautionary tale) and was referred to Dr. Johnston. I came up with multiple reasons for why it couldn't be prostate cancer, but the numbers don't lie and a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis - prostate cancer. Dr. Johnston explained the options available along with the pros and cons of each, and my decision was for surgery. I did the needful to be in the best physical shape for surgery as well as to prepare for new realities, and the day of surgery went according to plan. I had one night in hospital and was walking 3000+ steps within 3 days of surgery, and I experienced no incontinence. You can do this - please listen to medical experts like Dr. Johnston who have your best medical outcomes in mind, versus your neighbor who has a buddy who knows a guy that somehow escaped the expected progression of this disease. You can do this, and Dr. Johnston is the doc to choose.
Had a very nice experience at Dr Johnston's office. Efficient staff, excellent blood draw and the Doctor had a great bed side manner. I recommend him.
Met with Dr. Johnston after receiving an elevated PSA. we discussed my options, after more intensive tests and biopsy. Taking out the prostate was the best choice. He was very understanding and helpful through out the whole process. Had prostate taken out in Dec 2020. Blood test, one month after surgery, and then every three months for a year. There is a lot of ups and downs the first year. Wearing briefs for 3 months, took some getting use to. and then 2 months of liners. I am now at the point, where I use liners while doing yard work. So far everything is working good. I thank Dr. Johnston for all his patience and caring attitude. I had many tough questions as this was uncharted territory for me and he was able to help me through it all.
Dr Johnston and Staff were fantastic. It’s 4 1/2 weeks since my robotic prostatectomy and I have had no leakage or any other complications. I did start pelvic floor exercises at Neil Physical Therapy about a month before surgery. I was back to work after 10 days and participated in full workouts at gym after 4 weeks. Dr Johnston is very skilled and checked on me personally several times postoperatively.
I underwent a robotic prostatectomy about 4 1/2 weeks ago. Dr Johnston and his staff were fantastic. I have had no complications since the procedure including no leakage. I was back to work after 10 days and participating in a full workout at the gym and four weeks. I did enroll in pelvic floor exercises at Neil physical therapy about one month prior to procedure.
Overall, the worst “doctor” I’ve ever seen. Poor listening skills, rushed and didn’t even review past records. In fact there was no review of my current health history either. Complete waste of my time and money. Rude and unprofessional office staff too. On top of it all, he over bills!
Dr. Johnston took the time to explain exactly what health issues he was concerned about and how he was determining my best course of action, giving me a solid basis for making an informed decision.
DR. JOHNSTON....... PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, GREAT COMMUNICATOR/LISTENER, EXCELLENT TECHNICAL SKILLS. WILL RECOMMEND HIM ALL.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Johnston for 8 years with on and off Urology issues. In my opinion I was very pleased with the care and follow up he gave me. Doctor Johnston has very good Bedside manners and is very easy to talk to as well as answering your questions in layman’s terms.
I found Dr. Johnston's staff to be incredibly unprofessional on my first visit to his office. Another couple were having some difficulty and the staff talked about them in my presence when they left. My husband was looking for a second opinion regarding his prostate cancer and found the results of the biopsy Dr. Johnston performed were in question, wanted a third reading, Dr. Johnston's office has refused to provide the slides so that we can get a third reading.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
