List of Umesh Verma's Reviews
He is very patient with you and is very thorough and understanding of the issues you're having. Dr. Verma takes charge of medical issues like a quarterback on a team and directs you too the different doctors that you need to go and see for specific testing while he does his specific testing.
Almost 2 months still waiting on my mother's results as I watch her detiriate daily same conversation hiding keys losing checks refusal to leave the house can't remember she just ate so eats continuously I'm worried she will get diabetes it runs in the family something is bad wrong I need answer's as an only child.
I am still waiting for a diagnosis and I haven't been able to get through to his office. I was supposed to have a test done but they scheduled it with the wrong doctor who repeated tests that I already had done. I'm going to a different neurogist who will actually listen to me and hopefully diagnose my problem and start me on therapy. I will never recommend him
I have had myasthenia gravis for 15 years dr. Verma has done an excellent job of diagnosing my problem and also in prescribing medicine that I needed in order to continue a normal life until I injured my neck
GREAT DOCTOR!!!
Would never recommend this doctor. Also visits were only 5 minutes long. Couldnt get an answer for 3 weeks, couldnt get refills done. Missed My mother's menegitis misdiagnosed her with trigeminal neurologia in December. Never payed attention to slurred speech, leg weakness, headaches, leg pain, back pain. Told her to focus on positive thoughts. She died in terrible pain and if early enough could have been treated.
Really takes time to care and listen to you. Defiantly takes the time to get testing done and evaluations done to see what is going on, and what the best treatment or procedures would be most effective.
DON'T GO TO HIM!! FIND SOMEONE ELSE. I seen him a year ago (2015) when I passed out and my husband said I was shaking like I was having a seizure. He said I passed out with convulsions don't drive for 6 months and go on about my life. Last weekend (Aug 2016) I'm sitting in the movie theater with my husband for 10 mins movie hadn't even started the previews were on. Passed out in the chair shaking, foaming from my mouth and started vomiting while still unconscious. Went back to see him after I was in the hospital he said it's stress see a psychologists and basically pushed me off like I was crazy. Went to see a psychologists if for anything to prove him wrong and he said this is not stress it's a medical problem that I need to be treated for asap (forgot to say my speech was off like a stutter mixed with a slur since the event) needless to say I am going to u of m for real answers. Had I been at home in bed when this happened I could have chocked on my vomit and could have died!!! Please don't go to him if you value your health go to some where else!
After waiting months to see a different neurologist to have testing, he sweeps in takes less than 5 min and checks one leg (because I was falling) but did not check both or my hands that were having severe tremors! I got a referral to Dr. Verma and he diagnosed me immediately. I was put on a medication that caused severe reaction and it was changed as soon as I called and notified him. I have been seeing him several years and he and his staff have been friendly and attentive..High recomendation
He is an incompetent Neurologist. I was on a medication (that HE HIMSELF) had prescribed to me and I had lost 22 lbs, in 3 months. At the time I was 120 lbs and couldn't afford any more wight loss. Topamax can cause weight loss. Topamax needs to be carefully started and carefully stopped. He told me my weight loss was due to depression and to just STOP the med. You can't just STOP that drug! After arguing 15 min., he wrote Rx's (to lower the dose) and threw them at me. Go elsewhere!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
