Anna Hoekstra's Online Review Report Card

Had a hysterectomy recently and Dr. Hoekstra was my surgeon. I was a high risk patient and she was amazing during our first visit, she wanted to know my history which included a lot. The outcome was great. It is no joke, it’s uncomfortable but Bronson hospital was also amazing!!!

Dr Hoeskstra is amazing. I had a full hysterectomy in December where she had to remove an almost football-sized ovarian tumor (8.5in x 6.5in x 4.5in) through an 8 inch incision. I had zero issues with my incision during the healing process. No bleeding, no infection, nothing. She did a great job of stitching me up. During office visits, everyone is very open and friendly. Dr. Hoekstra guided me through the scariest time of my entire life. We surround ourselves with the finest doctors and she's certainly one. She was patient in her explanations; listened to my concerns; included my spouse; offered comfort and encouragement. She performed a total hysterectomy via DaVinci (out-patient); post-surgery included weeks of chemotherapy and radiation. One year later - I'm cancer-free and stronger than ever. She was my "quarterback" and I feel like a Super Bowl winner! I will never forget her words to me - "You can do this!"

Dr. Hoekstra did a hysterectomy because i had a cyst on my ovary. She did a robotic hysterectomy. I am very pleased with her expertise. She is an amazing physician. She cares about her patients. She explained everything to me and advised me what to do. I would recommend Dr. Hoekstra to anyone looking for a number 1 doctor in this area.

I went through chemotherapy with Dr. Hoekstra for an advanced case of ovarian cancer in 2011. Anna Hoekstra is one of the absolute best!! One would be very lucky to have Anna as their oncologist. She along with my oncologist in Chicago saved my life. I am beyond blessed as a result to be writing this review.

Dr. Hoekstra is a fantastic surgeon I had a very large fybroid tumor that all other doctors said had to be removed through my abdomen. Dr Hoekestra removed the tumor performing the Davinci Method. She was a master only three incisions and the surgery was a complete success

She was extremely aggressive in treating my vulvar carcinoma in situ. Upon my agreement that she treat any other possible areas of concern, she proceeded to laser one quarter of my vaginal walls and my posterior vaginal introitus area. Then made an incision along the right labial minora. Silvadene cream used to dress the lasered areas. Not enough after care for the damage done and I continue to suffer the affects 8 years later!

Knows what's up!! Had endometrial cancer...was transplanted with kidney years before . No other doctor would even consider operating. Dr Hoekstra took the wheel . She was very confident, was not afraid to remove the cancer. Even called transplant surgeons to get the record so she could operate safely. I highly recommend her. Her education and experience obviously worked in my case..perhaps is yours?

At a time in your life that is full of questions and uncertainty, she was the utmost in caring and compassionate confidence. She had a plan and was amazing.
