It’s been five years since Dr Taunt did my knee replacement, and it hurts as much now as it did then. Each time I went back he would say there’s nothing wrong, but beyond taking X-rays he did nothing. He would brag about being the Dr. that fixed other Dr.’s mistakes, but he wouldn’t even admit to his own mistakes. He blamed the pain I continue to have on anything he could think of, but offered no help in figuring out what is causing it, much less treating it. So here I am five years later, the pain is still there, and he’s to blame.

Dr. Taunt is easy to talk to, straight forward and often answers your questions before you even know to ask them. He has been in constant contact post surgery. Checking in daily with advice and checking on my progress. I would ( and will be) recommend Dr. Taunt wholeheartedly.

Dr. Taunt performed my total hip replacement surgery six weeks ago and I could not have asked for a better orthopedic surgeon! He understood my fear of pain, listened to my concerns and explained how it was going to be done every step of the way. He also offers a "get well loop" where the office keeps you on schedule with regard to medications and activities pre and post surgery. This is a doctor who, when I had a positive urinalysis post surgery, called me personally at 9pm to get me started on an antibiotic right away. I highly recommend this surgeon 100%!

Dr. Taunt is very good at explaining the problem to those of us not totally understanding how our joints work. He is patient, answers questions, and one other important thing. At the end of explaining the options, he asked for my opinion on what I would like to do. Sooo important to me, somehow giving me some input into my choice of how to proceed. Somehow, that simple question, made me feel more in control of my medical health, and showed that he respected me not only as a patient, but as a person. Thank you.

From the diagnosis to the surgery, and throughout the post-op physical therapy, everything has progressed extremely well. I would highly recommend Dr. Charles Taunt for this posterior hip surgery.

Probably a good surgeon but terrible bedside maner. My husband had knee replacement surgery and has mild dementia. While he was in surgery I had to go to the restroom and missed his phone call to let me know how surgery went. He left the most ugliest condescending message on my phone saying "I guess you decided to go home and left hospital "! Also told my husband that when he was in recovery. How dare he make an assumption before talking to me, how dare he tell my husband I went home and upset him right after surgery!!! Shame on him. I'm homebound lovingly taking care of him and very seldom can I leave to do what I need. To think a physician would tell someone right after surgery I guess your wife went home is dreadful. Still have his message on phone. Should call and report it
