Very caring and thoughtful doctor. Always has your best Interest at heart. Very good bedside manner and will always listen and not rush you in and out like a lot of dr do. I was very grateful for him to deliver my son January 2020. He explains everything in depth and makes sure you leave without having any questions.

Dr. Barton practices evidence based medicine. He is up to date on the procedures and literature. Saw him for a second opinion on HRT and so glad I did. He is an advocate for women’s health during this transition.

I've been to many OB/GYNs through family relocations, and met more through professional work. That context only heightened my long-standing impression -- Central MI is fortunate to have one of the top OB/GYNs in the nation.

I was so blessed to have Dr Barton deliver my baby. My water had broke more than 24 hrs earlier and I had begun to develop an infection. Dr Barton did everything he could to help me deliver her naturally but I ended up in need of a c section. He took the time to explain to me why I needed it and assured me with a spirit of encouragement that I did my best to bring her into the world naturally. He gave me confidence in an emotional situation.

Dr. Barton not only saved my life after my tube burst the first time he saved it again after I had an allergic reaction to the starch which was the blood replacement they used during the surgery because I lost so much blood prior to arriving to the hospital. Love Dr. James Barton, he is a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable Doctor and has a very good bed side manner towards his patience which is a huge factor for me, not too many Doctors I know that are this pleasant to work with.

I am glad I got Dr. Barton as my ob/gyn. He is excellent. His focus is only in diagnosing his patient and solving their health issues.But I have to mention that his office staffs suck. They work with 'NO' brains. I thought of write a complain, but the complain box was already overflowing. Wish someone put things right in their office.
