Laura A. Gago's Online Review Report Card

I went there reading many good review online but just disappointed to write here as a patient who would not recommend that clinic. It is extremely tough to get the hang of the nurses over phone. I have sat with my phone for whole day after leaving voice notes to them to call me back because I did not want to miss a chance to talk when they call back, otherwise I can go into voicemail exchange rabbit hole. Their insurance nurse has LIED to me saying GonalF injections are not covered by my insurance and I will have to buy it from their preferred pharmacy. The injections were covered and I had to pay only 75$ each and the cost was 800$ at their preferred pharmacy. They charged me for some random IUI service for which neither I nor my husband were consented, there was no outstanding balance in my portal ever and without warnings they sent it to collection and it affected our credit score badly where we have literally never missed a single payment in life. ABSOLUTELY unprofessional and rude

I heard great things about this clinic and am very disappointed of my encounters with them. There were instances of when I had appointments scheduled and then plans kept getting changed at the last minute which was hard because it took time to coordinate my appointment with my work schedule. The last time I tried to contact them was when I tried to schedule a new appointment and made a request that was granted at another institution. I received a phone call 5 minutes later from a manger saying that the provider thought it would be best to work at another practice and the appointment was cancelled. Neither the manager or doctor was interested in working out a solution. This behavior was unprofessional and I cannot in good conscience ever recommend this clinic to others.

I had my 1st appointment with dr Gago last week. It was normal mostly about getting to know my history and trying to discover underlying issues. She is very friendly and suggested a few tests first to get to the root cause.

I’m sorry but get a hold of yourself ! You waited and waited and waited years and years hoping you would be the lucky miracle baby mom conceiving naturally after trying and trying for years ! Finally you are running out of patience desperately reaching out to a fertility specialist and expect them to magically impregnate you after the first visit ! Or better yet walk out of the office in your third trimester so you can now “safely” share the great news with your friend and family or even worst post on Social media/update your Facebook story ?! There are critical and important steps to fallow and the fact that your “26 apples a day diet advice didn’t go down the right pipe is your own selfish fault ! Be grateful that they advised you to take care of yourself and didn’t just walk you in to the IVF room to end up with your very first failed procedure! I don’t know what professional advice you had prior to Gago IVF but from my own long long journey with infertility I had to go trough several testes with my family doctor than gynecologist than down my long research list of fertility specialists and one of the major things they all brought up was my physical well being ! Fact that your fertility specialist advised you to eat couple extra apples and you leaving a one star review over this tells me you need to look in the mirror for one long extra minute girl ! Get a hold of your emotions and use your bad energy working out ! I’ve been a patient of this clinic and people like you need to steam off this non sense attitude in better ways than this ! You leave a one star review to affect a good business reputation because you are not ready to take advice to better yourself ?! What goes around comes around ! Watch your vibe ... you are so immature it’s ridiculous people waste time looking up business to approach and because of your immature review they may pass over a very good business ! Very very frustrating !!!! GO GAGO IVF !!!

Thanks to doctor Gago we achieved our long time goal of becoming parents ! We couldn’t be happier and are beyond grateful to see our dream come true thanks to Dr. Gago’s successful approach and her compassionate staff who was caring and supportive throughout our struggling journey ! Infertility is no easy rodeo but having the right team on your side sure makes it feel less of a fight ! We did our homework and spent a long time not only researching but visiting in person any and all other reputable fertility clinics within a 2 hour drive from us ! Gago IVF was the closest to us but our last and final stop! We were tricked by the highest rating so we drove 2 hours away to the top rated fertility clinic! Don’t be fulled by overpaid advertising as you already have been waiting long enough(like me) to reach out to a fertility clinic!Visit them in person or better yet if you are within 2 hours of Gago IVF check them out first ! Our est. success rate was 28% with first IVF success !!!

Run away! I had the WORST experience with Dr. Ayers and Dr. Gago. Not only was I told to be on a diet of "26 apples a day" for fertility, constantly had issues with medications being requested that were incorrect, terrible customer service from the nurses at the Gago office. I just had an appointment with Dr. Ayers two weeks ago to be on a medication for 6 weeks, then sends a letter out that he's retiring. All his patients are going to Gago. I get a call from the office nurse stating I need to make an appointment with Gago to proceed, even though I am taking a month break from trying. I get a call from their office stating GAGO recommends me to OTHER IVF doctors in the area! RUN far from this poorly run office.

I was simply terrified of failure during my treatment constantly second guessing myself if it was the right decision and comparing my cousins strong desire to adopt due to a quite Incomparable guarantee of becoming a parent . I am the proud mother of a 3 month old and that’s thanks to Doctor Laura Gago and her wonderful hard working staff ! It honestly upsets me to see the bad reviews and I must say some people have a harder time than others along this Jurney however we go there because we want help right ? Nothing happens overnight and we all know how we only wish we did this earlier so be patient, have faith and take it one step at a time ! Remember you are not the only one there and they are doing everything they can to help you ! I visited other fertility offices before and Doctor Laura Gago won me over first visit ! I’m beyond grateful we found her and wouldn’t go to any other fertility clinic in Michigan ! ! ! Our first ivf was successfull thanks to Doctor Laura Gago and her wonderful staff ! Thank YOU !!!

I have had wonderful experiences at both of my visits. Dr Gago is knowledgeable, warm and connected. Her staff is also incredible. She’s created a safe nurturing environment where a woman can feel supported in her most intimate and powerful endeavor; the pursuit of having a child. I’m so glad she was recommended to me! Diamond in the rough!

Four IVF transfer failures with last two being PGS . 2nd and 3rd are done with inadequate lining thickness. The response is not satisfactory when questioned about it . Seemingly Doctor did not take it well during our last consult when we questioned about it . Instead of empathizing our situation , she blamed us for accusing her . There were a lot of new nurses during our process and communication was not dealt well. Things would have worked well for others but not for us.
