List of MIchael Swords's Reviews
I had three fractures in my ankle plus a compound fracture in my tibia and fibula. It was a challenge putting everything back together. Dr. Swords did an excellent job and rotated my opoids so that I did not have any addiction issues. I would highly recommend him.
He explains very well in detail, thats what i like about him.
Very thorough
Very professional office. Very happy!
Dr. Swords took the time to listen, explain options, and work with me to make a treatment plan that made sense to both of us. I wish I could find more doctors like him. Thankfully, my feet will be in good hands.
Very good at what he does fixed my ankle well. Great at listening to my concerns and signing for therapy. Wait time sucks never waited less than an hour in his office for an appointment usually closer to two hours. Double booked someone checked in with me at the same appointment time today to see him. Needs to not schedule so tightly together people’s time is as important as his.
Dr. Swords is an excellent surgeon. He is experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate and top notch!
Dr. Swords is dedicated to his work, and he is a true healer. I have had a multitude of surgeries in my life and my recent surgery with him has been one of the best experiences to date. He was able to diagnose the problem and get me in for surgery much faster than anticipated. His confidence in the procedure gave me peace of mind and his professionalism made the experience that much more comfortable for me And my family. This was a big decision, and he has helped regain quality of life. I look forward to the many years I will able to walk thanks to him. Edit: After my second surgery I am even more so impressed with Dr. Swords’ character and attention to detail. I had encountered some miscommunication post-op, strictly between myself and some staff members over the phone. I was initially disgruntled and said something of it in my previous review, not wanting to waste the doctor’s time with something that wasn’t dire. Dr. Swords saw what I wrote and addressed the situation, he unexpectedly apologized for the problem at my following appointment. I was pleasantly taken aback, this man cares about his patients and it’s obvious. I have had quite a few surgeries in my lifetime as I previously stated, some of them have been so-so, and some of them I wish I could have not gone through with. Only a few have been good experiences, and 2 of those few have been done by this man and his team. All around he makes the process as good as it can be, even answering all of your nervous questions no matter how strange and repetitive. This is the kind of person you want as your surgeon, for the first time in my life I am able to start taking steps that feel even with one another, I never imagined this was possible before meeting Dr. Swords.
My husband had a bad ankle break that required surgery. Dr. Swords said he'd be glad to sign an FMLA form. However dealing with his office to get this done had been a nightmare. After many unanswered calls and delivering the forms by mail and again in person and paying their fee still nothing.
Dr. Swords is an amazing surgeon. And being an amazing surgeon, he tends to lack the patience with his patients and appears abrupt at times. I still would go to him again. The staff was awesome, wait time was reasonable, scheduling surgery was not prime. I was always treated respectfully by Dr. Swords and the staff. I would certainly recommend him and this office!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
