Roy Meland's Online Review Report Card

I see both Doctor Roy Meland(psychiatrist) & Marilyn mcLain (therapist) both of them are Amazing at what they do.. They've always been respectful, kind and made me feel a 100% comfortable weather be in their office or over a zoom appointment I would highly recommend them both because I truly feel they care about their patients well-being & mental health.

I have been seeing Dr. Meland for around 5 years now. He is compassionate, a good listener, he cares genuinely for the well being of all his patients. He will listen when you feel like no one else will. When I was in the hospital, he called the doctors in the hospital to make sure I was receiving adequate care. He knows what he’s talking about when it comes to medications, dosages, interactions, and treatment plans.

Dr. Meland is the BEST OF THE BEST! I come from a family of psychologists, and they all agree that he is an unusually wonderful, knowledgeable, and FUN psychiatrist. All of his attributes themselves, contribute to your mental health! You can't get anyone better in the Lansing area! ??

He basically over dosed me and and I ended up in the hospital. The doctors there told me he over medicates patients all the time and I needed a different doctor. When I called his office, his nurse Tami told me it's good that I was leaving because she was going to have Dr. Meland fire me anyway. They didn't want people like me, "complainers". Then she told me to **** off and good luck getting my medical records. I STILL haven't gotten them yet.

Dr. Meland is an awesome physician. He is kind, very, very trustworthy. Dr. Meland is engaging, humanistic, very caring and an gentle human being. Dr. Meland understands the issue we as human face and I'm sure along his journeys Dr. Meland has seen the worst in humans, haven't we all. I stumbled along this web page while looking up the Lansing Institutes number. I thought should I say something, why not. Dr. Meland is a very busy man because of his qualities. I honestly Thank God for helping me find a person so engaging. Lastly, I want anyone who reads this to know there will be a wait as a new patient to see Dr. Meland. You'll be seen by the PA for awhile waiting for Dr. Meland. The wait is worth it. I think we as humans are in search a person we can trust to get us out of our dark cloud. Let's face it we are all human, we are all flawed, I'm flawed. Dr. Melan is every bit human as you and I. I have never seen Dr. Meland's ego run amok. I can't say enough!!! Thank You!

Dr. Meland seemed very knowledgeable, kind and trustworthy. However the office staff is something else. I have witnessed them intimidate patients and threaten their care over billing objections and questions. For example, an elderly patient had forgotten an appointment because the reminder call came in a week before the missed appointment and she was told or it was strongly inferred that she could not been seen until the miss appointment fee of $75-$90 was paid; she paid it. This was difficult to watch. The staff also tried to switch providers for a routine appointment, I do expect my children to the physician that I am paying for, not someone barely out of school or with a lessor degree. I have since pulled my children, all patients should be treated with respect.

I gladly recommend this physician with a few caveats . . . . beware that the office staff can be difficult to work with at times, but the wait and discomfort caused by the "gatekeepers" is worth the challenge. Being part of this practice with Dr. Meland and Angie S. makes me feel more human and blessed than many other offices ever had!

He is an awesome Dr. you couldn't ask for any better. If you need him before your next appt. all you have to do is call him.
