Dr. Sousa is an excellent doctor who cares about his patients and actually listens to any concerns you may have. He also explains to you step by step on what you will experience so it's not a surprise later. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr Sousa is the best doctor from my first initial visit to the day of my weight loss surgery date and a year later he’s still the best he’s kind he listens and cares about his patients and will go above and beyond to help you even his staff if the best they care just as much as he does

When I met Dr. Sousa he was awesome! Very informative! I did everything needed for surgery about 10 months ago. And, I called to see my next step a lady named Willona told me that I was approved for surgery and that Stacy would f/u w/ my sur date. 6 months went by no f/u I called Willona bk and she said ,”That Stacy did not work there and I should have been called back!” As anew pt how would I know. Then she said that she would have the office manager contact me. It’s been at least 2 months and 3 calls/ voice mail messages to the office manager from with no response. My psych evaluation for surgery was 300 and it’s only good for 6 months. So, to me this appointment only cost me time and $$$! And, still no surgery or call back. I’m not even sure if this a real company at this point! Maybe they should post a note on the door that say: Maybe we will help you. Or, maybe not! This was a year of hope wasted that I could have found a new surgeon and been on my journey of being healthy. I had a 2 year plan on Weightloss journey and dealing with dr.Sousa office I’ve loss a year! Update 3/30 they reached out and resolved the issues! Thanks

He took really good care of me throughout my whole process. He made sure I understood everything and what I needed to do. He’s an amazing surgeon and my after care is great! I’ve already recommended him to several other people.

He has been the worst surgeon ever. He currently has a critical patient in dire need of treatment and he's leaving the patient without proper medical care and is on vacation. He refuses to sign off on this patient to get proper medical care from anyone else. If I could give negative stars, I would.
