List of Sean M. Rooney's Reviews
Months to get in, 2.5 hours driving to get there, 1 hour of processing, 15 minutes waiting in the exam room, just to have him come in, invalidate my concerns, and walk me out-- all in under 5 minutes. I mean he didn't even dilate my eyes or run me through any tests or machines. He shined a handheld light in my eyes and that's that. I thought an ophthalmologist was supposed to be more thorough than an optometrist. That's the point of seeing them, right? The grade school portable tester run by the school nurse was more extensive. He was rude, and it was all a waste of my time.

I had cataract surgery and everything went very well.He explained what he was going to do and what to expect after. Very professional. I was vdry pleased with the outcome.
Very arrogant and inpatient. Really needs help with how to interact with people.
Dr. Rooney was very professional. My cataract surgery was done in the new surgical suite at the Medical Center in Marquette. It went like clockwork. Those involved were efficient and caring. I had a great outcome.
My husband had cataract surgery with Dr Roony and was very pleased. He was excellent, explained everything. Office staff was good. Surgery was at Bell Hospital. Nurses and support staff there were also very good.
Does not give you the time of day. Could care less about your concerns. Rude is an understatement, no matter your age.
I had cataract surgery both eyes. the first went well, the second, not good. Dr had marked the eye position while was laying flat. while sitting up he questioned his marking, then decided to go with it. Later as the assistant unveiled the eye she was quite cheerful, until she checked the vision, she became quite serious as she learned what I already knew. The replacement liens was not in the correct position. "Dr" Rooney upon checking the problem, said "well, the lens can turn settling in position." continuing he added "this eye is even better than the first at this point" CLEARLY A LIE. I feel he lied to cover a mistake he knew he had made. I now use a corrective liens for that eye and plain glass for the other.
Dr. Rooney addressed my concerns regarding cataract surgery in a professional and caring manner, as I am blind in one eye. The surgery came off without a hitch and I was reassured by how thoroughly he performed the post surgery follow-up exam.
I am 61 years-old, I had cataract surgery, the first eye developed glaucoma, Rooney dismissed this, I couldn't see. The next eye he, operated on with only a local, I asked for anastasia and he said no. I was in a lot of pain. I also ended up with surgery induced glaucoma in the second eye. He does not care about you or your vision. I know this is true.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
