Very abrupt appointment. Seen on time,but doctor spent less than 5 minutes with my mom who has trouble breathing,dizziness to the point of almost passing out this past week & swollen leg/ankle. He apparently did not read medical assistant notes before coming in. We had no chance to tell him everything before he was rushing us out to the front desk. I literally felt like he didn't care about my mom. Mom has orthostatuc hypertension. Medical assistant only took blood pressure from seated position. No standing BP which is where her BP is most serious. Based on sitting BP doctor told us to stop taking one of the BP meds. He wants her BP to he in the 140 range. That maybe correct, but how does he know without a standing BP being done to compare to a sitting? No chance to ask doctor. Medical assistant said unless doctor orders they don't do standing BP in addition to sitting

Dr. Shah makes every effort to prevent heart disease. He once was complimenting me on how I was doing very well helping prevent heart disease. I said "So I'm not going to keel over?" Dr. Shah replied "no, no one should keel over." Dr. Shah is very thorough, I've never had anyone listen to my heart as long Dr. Shah did and that was after a echocardiogram & stress test. Dr. Shah is also very personable & tells good jokes.

Dr Shah has genuine care and concern for his patients. Dr Shah's staff are all very pleasant, helpful and caring. You cannot go wrong having Dr Shah as your heart doctor, for he has a BIG HEART for everyone.
