You see this rating and it's for a reason. If you or your family can help it, I would go somewhere else. Point blank, make sure your family members tell you how they are being treated. Social workers rarely respond and the Medicaid social worker needs more compassion. !!!
Don't work here if you can't think for yourself. If you don't FIT IN they talk about you.The nurses and CNAs are rude the kitchen manager is rude she talked to me any type of way and expected me to come back the next day. It's all around an unprofessional place to work. They too old to not know that being different isn't a bad thing, but then again if you don't FIT IN. The experience just taught me some people are uneducated in what really matters.
Would’ve given NO stars but that was not an option. As a caregiver licensed i went to this facility to help my client . The nurses were RUDE . My client call light was constantly on and the aides and nurses were either on lunch or playing on phones. Don’t even think to ask for anything you’ll recieve nothing CONFUSION, SNUBBING and ATTITUDE like your bothering them . This is the worst place and I’m an advocate i will make sure any client of mine NEVER goes to this facility . Half of the young aides and nurses need to learn COMPASSION and BEDSIDE manner . These clients pay your bills ! The facility is open anytime no security . I don’t know if these women need a vacation or a hug but they’re HARDENED to show any kind of friendliness at all! I recommend anywhere BUT this unprofessional facility . Horrible place don’t send anyone you LOVE here !
Updated review: 8/2023 Mom is here again and things are different than before. The place is clean and homey, PT and OT are great. The CNAs are all friendly and compassionate. Basically everyone involved in her care are lovely. One exception is her blanket that went missing 4 days ago and I've asked every day about it to which no one gets back with me. She also has a bedsore I've told multiple people about and every time I come back she doesn't have a pillow under her legs. No one seems to notice the huge bedsore taking up her entire heel now. She, unfortunately, failed to recover from her recent fall and is declining rapidly. She was discharged from PT and OT and her insurance says she must go. I'm bringing her home on hospice. My mother had nothing but great experiences here. Everyone was friendly and professional while checking on her every hour. I highly recommend
As someone who has had six operations in five years on the same knee I've had many experience's (5) in different recovery places. I would rate my time at Bronson Commons as the best. From the nurses and PT people, the Cena's, housekeeping and administration, Doctor's etc I found them all to be very competent. And, their seemed to be overall feeling of "kindness" that I truly appreciated ! I would recommend the place to anyone in need of their care....
I was first impressed with the service/care for my mom. The OT and PT were wonderful with her and her needs. However, the social worker there is much to be desired! Why would you discharge a patient a day after insurance stops and then be offended when asked to put something in writing so the patient would not be charged. This is what gives places a bad name.
My grandmother was admitted to Bronson Commons after a broken femur. She suffered from dementia and was cared for well by most of the staff. At end of life we spent 24/7 with her for 4 continuous days and were blown away at the care and compassion with which she was treated by Emily, Lucy, Laurie (CNAs), as well as Wendy and Matt (RNs). While under comfort care they were attentive to her needs, empathetic with our family and kind to her as a human being. Kathryn (LPN) was horrendous- rude to our family, overly concerned about a nasal canula, stingy with comfort meds and argumentative when we tried to advocate for proper care. While my grandmother was in the final transition, Kellie (Social Work) entered the room to solicit a donation and request we also make public how thrilled we were with the care. So here we are. The CNAs are EXCEPTIONAL. We watched them bust their rumps for every second of every shift while other staff watched videos on phones at the desk or chatted. We watched them attend kindly to the patients who needed a little extra attention, even in the chaos, and we listened to them advocate for my beloved grandmother to have proper treatment. Matt and Wendy were on point with medications, communicated clearly and understood that end of life was challenging for us all. They were compassionate, kind and comforting. Kathryn is in the wrong profession and should be removed immediately. Short version: the care is adequate and most employees seem to genuinely care. The ones who don't, however, have a major impact on the well being and comfort of your loved one. If your person is in hospice, please take them home for it if possible.
Grandmother was there and had issues with rude/mean nurses. Long wait to have sheets changed. Never got calls back from staff. She did not have a good experience at all.
You no they are hiding something when the director (Season)sends a letter stating if you take anymore pictures in the facility of your own mom, or record any more conversations.. That you will only be allowed to have supervised visits ..or none at all.. Sounds like they are hiding something to me.. Well in fact they are the care.. My family has had several meeting with the higher uppers addressing concerns about the hygiene, food intake, quality of care, medical treatment and lack of , the untrained, the food be made incorrectly for patients that has chocking concerns.. .it's addressed for a week then it goes back to how it was before..don't be fooled by the 5 stars here.. they are just good at fixing temporary..it always goes back to how it was.. sad truth.. they fix it long enough not to get fined.. my family is at the facility 7 days a week most of the time 2 times a day.. If you can't be there this much..trust me when I say your loved one should not be in the facility..don't trust them.
My dad was there 2 weeks didn't give him much rehab. Made him leave because Medicare was gonna stop paying he wasn't ready. Couldn't even get in the house. A shame things all about money. How can you care for your love one at home when nobody has training. These insurance companies need to start thinking about people not the almighty buck.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
