Stupidly cut my left index finger at the middle joint, severing the extensor and lateral tendons, rendering my finger unusable. In OR six days after injury. After eight weeks in a splint and without function, I began OT for two months. Now, six months post-injury, I have full range of motion and functionality of my finger, when it was originally not guaranteed to have that much. It is a bit stiff after non-use (after sleeping), but a few minutes of flexion and extension, and it is good for the rest of the day. I only met Dr. Young for a very brief 3-4 minutes just prior to going into the OR. Remainder of a few visits was with this PA-C. However, I will attest that Dr. Young's knowledge, skills, and expertise have allowed me to have function of my finger, when I was very unsure of how I wound have to function with the possibility of limited, if any function for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Dr. Young and his staff if you are in need of any hand or finger repair.
My fiancé was referred to this office due to a hand injury. When i called to get him an appointment, a lady named Chris answered the phone and was extremely rude. I explained he was referred due to an injury and was seen in the ER. I was told that there was NO doctor in the office and that no refferal was sent. She barely gave me a chance to explain before shutting down the conversation. Chris is definitely not a person id have representing my office.
The entire office staff and PA Matt were amazing! Everyone was friendly and helpful. My mom said “this is the most professional medical office I have ever been to. We have had 3 visits for a broken hand. I highly recommend this office!” We appreciate the outstanding service and care! Nancy Coulter- patient
Excellent office! i saw the PA and he was excellent! I love the staff. Very caring and helpful. I would highly recommend this office if you have any hand issues!!!
I have already had 2 surgeries, one on each hand, by Dr. Young. His P.A. is very knowledgable and shares all he knows with you. Dr. Young is a very competent surgeon and my aftercare went well. I would recommend him to anyone. And I am a retired R.N.
Dr. Young is awesome. Straightforward, conservative in treatment, and completely engaged with the patient. I found him honest and very careful not to rush into surgeries. He paid attention and spent a great deal of time with me. I do not know where comments about his lack of a "bedside manner" are relevant or important. He is thorough, quiet, considerate and most importantly competent in his care.
Bed side manner of Oscar the grouch, very unprofessional and unpleasant to be around. Didn't help me at all. Do not recommend!
Back in 2009 my tips of my figures got cut off. Doctor Young was able to save them. I don't know how but he did. Best Doctor!
Dr. Young is the best! Very attentive, informative, and takes great care of his patients! 10/10
Dr. Young is the best hand surgeon in the tri-city area. I don’t care about his “bedside manner” or how the office staff behaves. I want a surgeon who is the best in his field. He patiently listened while I asked a multitude of questions about alternatives to surgery and explained why the treatment he proposed is the one he routinely uses. I had thumb joint replacement (LRTI) and he did an excellent job. I would never go to anyone else and strongly recommend Dr. Young.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
