Ernest Ofori Darko's Online Review Report Card

I have never felt so sad and mad at this doctor in my whole life. My mother went to the hospital in Alma. She had an upper GI bleed and her hemoglobin literally kept on dropping. Alma transferred her to Midland. They did the scope on Sunday and it's such an inconvenience for that doctor. The doctor found nothing on the scope. The lady doctor who admitted my mom wanted to know if she needs to get a colonscopy. He came in literally all mad and showed us the pictures of her scope and says it was all clear. He got all offensive when my husband Josh asked a simple question if my mom is going to get a colonscopy. He literally felt so rushed and he was mad that my mom was such an inconvenience to him.. I hope this doctor loses everything and I'll be making a complaint to the manager.

I left this doctors office crying. Dr. was very unprofessional and told me that I was making up my symptoms the whole appointment. He still prescribed me a medication that he had no diagnosis for. The medication ended up being one that was not okay to take with previous medical diagnoses. He never explained the huge side effects that went along with this medication. He was very dismissive when I asked how to alleviate symptoms, essentially told me to figure it out myself. I went to a different doctor and was diagnosed with something completely different within two weeks.

In all my life I’ve never seen such an unprofessional, uncaring and incompetent person practicing medicine. I never leave reviews for anything but I feel the need to warn others. I had to go out of network and pay a ton to get a proper diagnosis after dealing with him and waiting months for a misdiagnosis. If you’re going to be arrogant and terse you could at least be good at what you do.

Dr. Ofori-Darko has always acted arrogant, uninterested, and indifferent to my concerns. The office environment was lacking as well, often felt as though I was bothering them. I continued to go despite this because it is the only office of its kind in this town and I did not want to drive out of town. I decided that it was worth the drive, when they refused to call in a prescription to help with my bleeding ulcerative colitis. Their office professional, Marcy, told me that their medical staff refused to contact me after I had waited three days for a call. Told me to see my family doctor or wait for my appointment that they had scheduled three months after my first call. This is the worst that I have ever been treated by a medical office. I had been going to this office for 20+ years! NEVER AGAIN. It's worth a long, long drive to avoid this place!!!!

Awesome doctor! Friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. I had problems for years that no other doctor could diagnose. One visit to Dr. Ofori Darko and bam! I got a diagnosis and relief from problem.

Very kind. Answered all questions and was reassuring.
