I was referred to her by my Family Dr. I agree with the comments here too. Poor patient service by Staff. Not to mention after her doing my Lithograp no Stent put in. 1 Day after I'm in ER with severe Pain and a Urethra full of stones. Luckily she was not on Call and had them removed and Bilateral stents place.

Dr. Witzke saved my husband's life! People complain about wait times? Get over it. Really, what do you have to do that is more important? Watch TV? Bring a book. As adults you would shush your children in a doctor's office and wait to save your child's life. Act as an adult. If a doctor needs to spend more time with a patient, and that patient is you, would you begrudge that time spent, or be grateful for positive life saving treatment? Answer that. Yes, other patient's appointments would be delayed because of you. Ponder that. My husband's appointment might be the next appointment. We will have to wait. We wait for knowledge and skill the current patient is receiving knowing we will receive the same. Dr. Witzke's staff is wonderful! Never have we waited on hold or talked to artificial " intelligence". Every single support staff member has been just that! Supportive, encouraging, accessible. From surgery scheduling, appointments, infusion assistance (during the procedure in a different location), to reassurance and consolation. Wonderful! If you have trouble with your insurance, call them. They work for you! Doctors do not have control over coverage, or lack thereof. Demand coverage! Change your insurance! You have a choice. Whine or fight for your health. In closing, excellent, wonderful, doctor and support staff! God Bless You!

As a current patient of Dr Karla Witzke, I wish to give her expertise a 5-star plus rating. Her bedside manner is excellent. She personally follows up on my health care and gives me straight forward knowledgeable advice. Additionally, her staff does everything in their power to make me comfortable with my care. Susan, Tammy, Mercedes, Courtney are a few of her superstars! Battling bladder cancer is tough enough but my battle lessons when I realized that this team also makes it their battle. God bless each one of you. Dr. Witzke and her staff are AllStars and I'd recommend them to anyone of my family members, friends, and to you! JC

Very good knowable Doctor that really cares.

The manager Rachelle not a very personable lady. My daughter was in an accident over the weekend and was supposed to have an interview with her today for a medical assistant position. My daughter had surgery on her collar bone this morning as it was completely shattered, rachelle called, my wife had answered and told rachelle that our daughter was in a accident, rachelle said ok and hung up. My wife proceeded to wake Brooke up to let her know this manager had called and thought maybe she should call her back, Brooke called Rachelle back and all she had to say was that Brooke was a “no call, no show” for her interview and had nothing else to say. This lady does not seem to be a very good manager and is indeed giving My Mid Michigan a bad name. Should’ve known this by reading previous reviews of this clinic, sounds like the staff and the manager do not know how to treat people. Mid Michigan should definitely be taking a look at the way this clinic treat their patients, and people interviewing for a position.

Worst experience ever. I had been experience lower flank pain for a while. We discovered a stone and finally got the approval to move forward with a procedure to blast the stone. The Friday before I had 3 appointments scheduled (covid, xray and CT) to prep for this blast. We had our babysitter and my husband take the day off of work and get to the appointment Monday for the procedure got picked 3 times for one iv and prepped for everything just to be sent home and be told my back pain was from my tight back muscles (mind you I have now one stone and possibly a second found on the CT the Friday before) talk about frustrated. This have been 18 months in the making and such a waste of everyone's time and money. Tests aren't free and we don't have free state insurance so we have co-pays and out of pocket bills very frequently. I won't recommend and won't be going back. Ann Arbor is definitely more serious and organized. To add to this, even before any surgery was scheduled staff NEVER answered phones and wouldn't hardly ever call back. The surgery scheduler Katie was the only one who took the time to return calls and went above and beyond messaging me on my patient portal when I had questions.

Extremely unprofessional office, they take months to get an you an appointment that they don’t even notify you about even if it’s an urgent medical issue- the only reason I found out I had an appointment was because I opened my MidMichigan portal app on a whim one day and saw it there. They don’t answer or call you back when you leave a message (again, even when I had an urgent medical question) and on the rare chances you do get to talk to someone they’re extremely rude. Please don’t go to this office if you want to feel cared about as a patient, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that I know.

Her staff never seems to answer the phone. My mom had a stent put in, in May 2021 and Karla left it there till August 2021. Her office told my mom she could have the stent in for 4 months! It was removed by a different Dr because my mom had a severe kidney infection and was rushed to a different hospital. Never again. Disappointed.

She is absolutely amazing and I could ask for a better Urologist

This office was 20 minutes late calling for my virtual follow up, tried to answer phone did t hear anyone and the phone went dead. Call the office 20 seconds later and now I have to wait a week for a new appointment.
