I had to have an emergency appendectomy. Dr. Martin had excellent bedside manner and really calmed my nerves going into surgery. I am grateful for him and his team taking such great care of me. I highly recommend him.

Tremendous Doctor, I've had a couple of procedures performed by him with absolutely no complaints or concerns or issues. He takes the time to talk to you as a person and answers your questions.

After an ER visit determined that I needed my gallbladder removed, I was originally set up and scheduled for surgery with a different surgeon at MyMichigan. Wanting to get a second opinion, I canceled my surgery and met with Dr. Martin as a consult. Even though this pushed my surgery back a month, it was absolutely worth the pain and suffering- Dr. Martin was absolutely fantastic. He not only answered every single question my anxiety-filled brain asked, but he answered them with patience, understanding, and easy-to-understand explanations. His bedside manner was second-to-none and I was lucky enough that when I went into the ER (a week before my scheduled surgery) to have emergency surgery, he was on call. Post-surgery, he went out to the waiting room and spoke with my mother (who was there with me), shook her hand, and explained every detail of the surgery to her- he even provided me with complimentary pictures! If I have to have another surgery on anything, I would not hesitate to have Dr. Martin. All said and done, this was a fantastic experience that I wish I would have taken care of months ago.

If I could give this Man 0 stars I absolutely would!!! Never met a more decisively decision making crew in my life! Changed what they were gonna do anesthesia wise about 3 or 4 different times and changed the way surgery approach was gonna actually be last minute. I woke up from surgery in the recovery room with absolutely NO pain medication within me at all!!!! Took them almost 30 minutes to get my pain level into a more controlled state. My surgery was delayed which sometimes is expected to take place but because of that I feel my care after surgery was then extremely rushed and I was basically pushed out the door before my pain medication even fully had time to kick in all the way!! I wouldn’t of minded but I had two stomach hernia’s repaired and which they had to cut through my abdominal wall about 5 inches. I had this doctor perform surgery on me in 2021 for something else . I had a good experience then. With this doctor you could be gambling. The pain level I had after surgery was enough to make me lift my body off the bed and gave me a panic attack instantly. Not to mention the pharmacy in hospital closed down already and my pharmacy outside the hospital already closed by time I left hospital. I didn’t get pain meds till the next day. I will never come back for surgery in the future to this man nor would I ever suggest him to a single soul out there. If this can happen to me can happen to anyone.

Grateful for Dr Martin! He helped my brother in law who was terminal with colon cancer. He gave knowledgeable, caring and sound compassionate advice so that he could make an informed decision about the remainder of his life. His oncologist was unable to do as much for him. Dr Martin deserves 10 stars!

He did an amazing job for me... My gallbladder was removed in a short procedure and I am already pain free.

I don't know what I was expecting, but this visit was way better than I thought it would be. He was very involved with my case, and explained everything to me, and even drew a picture of my issue and how he would fix it. Put everything in laymen terms, which was a very welcome relief. I felt very comfortable as soon as he walked in the room. Very personable, and caring which seems to be missing in todays world. I would definitely recommend Dr. Martin.
